Your subs look really wet jake. Is that from hand watering in the final days before harvest?

You're not that heavy with pins though right? I've had a few abort when I was that wet.

No I know it’s odd but they don’t seem to mind as long as it comes from the fogger. All my trays are kept pretty moist

Thanks for all the info dude. Do you find that typical of Bisporus or pans in general? I took a break from pans for 6 months to work on my APE Clone but I'm fired up on pulling a pan canopy now.

wet feet dry heads thats what pans like the wetter the better as long as ur evaporating it and getting it wet again just dont mist them however they love indirect moisture from humidity/fog. you just gtta find that balance of constant moisture and evaporation

Yeah it kinda does. I have 9 trays in there and some are pretty wet but they're leveling off now that I have a 2and humidifier running. If I turn it up now I'll get a lake in a couple.

I'm curious about how much water you see in the bottom of your trays. The last round of trays I had stopped fruiting and I trashed them. I found the water in the bottom to smell like sewage and def bacterial. This tray seems like it's fruiting much better and it's close to 70% straw like you suggested. Not sure if the last subs went bad bc the sub was anaerobic or bc they drowned or both.
The straw based sub seems like it can breathe better but its less absorbent and I can see more water now. Still dialing in the fogger and idk how much visible water is acceptable.

You want them pretty saturated you don’t necessarily want puddles but I’ve had puddles form before and still get a decent flush you want to drain puddles out when you see them but from what I’ve seen most people are too dry not too wet that’s the first thing people notice is how wet my sub is. it’s like that for a reason

How’s this myc look? I’m in the process of putting different looking colonies in jars to see what they all do but this was voted the most likely to succeed so it went first. M

Started doing my pans on WBS but have recently been going with straight red sorghum/milo-growth seems pretty normal to me-without all the millet/linseeds/mustard/pieces of corn seeds ect that are normally found in birdseed mixes. Sorghum/milo for me also works out little cheaper which is a added bonus.

I never had any problems with bisp getting their heads wet. Cyans for me were the pickiest as far as wet feet dry heads.

My fogger is going through about 2 gallons a day. Is that insane or what?
I lost 3 trays and had a shitty flush of jams before I realized that I still need to mist about 3 times/day. Post mortem on all the subs showed they were too dry.
I have 3 trays going now. Evap is high AF right now. Expecting better this next round.
