what up fellow pan heads😃 i was just wondering if any of you that have grown bisporus have you also noticed that the myc seems considerably lighter more wispy and has more of a translucent type look even more so than pan cyan and pan cambo?? or is it just me and the type of growth that i have??  im already on grain with it after goin out to t4 but it just looks a lot lighter since being on the grain compared to the agar. and is for sure lighter looking than the cambo and cyan i have.  if needed i can snap a pic later when i get home. thanx for any feedback👍

Currently testing what temp the keep warm setting will keep everything at.. really hoping it will be in the range I want it.

This will make, making casing layers and pasteurized substrate so damn easy

Grim.. dis yous turn out to work ok. I know you were testing a while back?

For some reason mine keeps climbing well over 160 if I leave it alone. Returned the 1st one thinking it was faulty and the 2and one does too. Maybe subs are too fluffy for the probe to work corrrectly? I Dunno still doesn't make sense. Need to test it with water I guess. If I set it to 145 it doesn't get any hotter than 160 but still a PITA but better than using jars and a sous vide.

Are you putting it in bags and heating in a water bath or loading the cooker with sub directly?

Pre-hydrating the sub then dumping it straight in the cooker.

Rock Burns The heavily domesticated strains within pan are prone to this mutation the longer they stay domesticated the more prone they are, I’m working on re-stabilizing these the Jamaica and Hawaii that are circulating the vendor sites because as of right now they are jacked up

ya the jams were pretty bad for me. so far the genetics i got from the ms syringe i had from what in my opinion the best vendor their is were terrible. i had to weed out a ton of terrible shit b4 i got a cpl clones that were good enough. but i just liked 1 of the tray of the dwarfs i had so i cloned a cpl and kept the one i liked the best and so far i have grown it twice and its almost like just growin caps lol

Yeah the dwarfs don’t give horrible yields actually they’re super dense and I pull about the same I do from my canopy weight wise however they suck for printing

Has anyone here ever used unpasteurized Jiffy Mix and had good results? I wonder if I could skip the pasteurization process and use directly from the bag.

(I have the impression, that I read somewhere, that it would be possible)

Means it should work for pans also, right? I mean, after all it's all about contamination. So if it doesn't contaminate on cubes sub, it won't on pans sub either, I guess.

How much verm per quart of Jiffy do you use?
