zaps haven't arrived yet, man. Sorry to hear about the Aussie. Hopefully, round 2 will go better for you.
I've got 4 bags of poop started in the PC to go along with the 4 I got growing out. These are for bisporus, cyans var. blue springs, wild coast and...some more aussie.
I'm gonna try and just hammer out the grows this year.

Sweet! Also after your comment about the black kow a few weeks ago, I ordered some proper aged hpoo from a sponsor site and that'll be delivered any day now. So hopefully won't be wasting these. Don't have a proper greenhouse, but have been working on dialing in a smaller scale FC (modified sgfc with an ultrasonic mister on an intermittent timer) with some cube bottles I already had going, so hopefully will be able to get something decent out of this. Not expecting to match the grows that people like you and Jake get, but if I can get even half that I'll be happy.

Hi everyone, have spent most of my time at the other site (myco) and am looking for a little change of scenery. Still gonna be present there as well, just spreading the love and learning everything I can everywhere I can.
I’ve done a good couple handful of monos and thanks to one of the really cool guys here, will be trying my hand at pan cyans,. Was gonna make plates rather than order them to save some money. I have brown rice flour and agar powder real food brand. Will this work just fine? And should I wait for my print to show up or will it matter if I make it all up before it gets here? I’m really excited to try my hand at a new species now that I feel I have a good grasp on cubes.
This is the first time I’ve made agar. Would I be better off just buying a few plates just to ensure quality this first go around?
Don’t really see how I could mess it up that bad as long as I pay attention to aseptic technique.

I think we would all be happy to match, jake
I'm sure you can make it work with what you have. Looks like you have the most important part taken care of...a good looking plate. Fruiting might be trickier but plenty of people have done them in SGFC's. Good luck man.

@Drk just my opinion but the more you jump in and do things yourself, the better off you will be in the long run.
mushboy does BRF plates and I think they work fine for him. I wouldn't worry about the media too much. Just use what you have. I make all my plates before I need them and have let them sit around (covered) for up to 2 weeks or so.

Thanks. Will be knocking up a few quarts and stagger them so I can have a few tries to get it right. Fortunately I work from home so can pay close attention to conditions and balance the moisture and FAE regularly. Will post progress to get feedback along the way.

So here’s my germ and T1s so far.
Any suggestions?

I know they still need a few days to really see what’s going on but I’ve got a couple distinct types of myc.
For the T1s Top right seems to be fastest but top left has a good mix of speed and thicker uniform growth so far. I’m still looking at it through cube goggles though.

Upper left on the germ plate?
I mixed up what transfer came from what colony but I can match them by wedge shape.
I’ll take more anyways, but that’s the type of growth I should look for?
I remember reading wispy was good so I was thinking the bottom colony on the germ plate but that didn’t seem right lol.

Ok cool. So you don’t like that super fuzzy colony on the germ plate?
I just poured a stack so I’ll be taking more soon.

Good call. That's what I would do as well.
That "fuzzy" colony may be good for all we know, but a lot of the time that stuff just likes to sit around and eat and tends not to enter the fruiting stage.
Is it really fuzzy or is it made up of a lot of distinct strands? I might transfer if the latter. Can't really tell from the pic.

@Jake. Sorry if this has been asked before. What kind exactly is your light strips you are using? Want to get the same once
Oh and to do get so warm that they raise the temp at all?
I guess it wouldnt be a problem with the pans. Hut I do gourmets also sometimes in the same GH. Nit at the same time tho.
Thanks

Well I was getting the led strip packs from Home D But now I just order them off Amazon the kit is nice because it can change colors and do all kinds of extra stuff but really just the base strip lights work fine you don’t need to spend a lot of money on lights. And no LEDs don’t really put off any heat at least not these
