umm,
fruiting for 3ish days I think? it's just in a mono along with some other trays just like that, like I said this was a "eh I have some extra jars; fuck it" kinda grow
my controller is set to -
day - 75/60 night - 71/30
temp/rh respectively
it could use a little more FAE, but I still need another fan. we'll see how they do with the current set up
my cubes are fuzzy AF

Get that RH up to 80-95% and your gold.

As they mature lower the RH gradually.

This on the other hand looks very fishy with metabolites and shit scattered all over the place, but I'll still spawn it on the 12th and see lol

(Idk how I missed this) Both of those jars look suspect to me..

Teemo 6T3 said: Well i have another testing jar that i reinoculated it to, and they still don't seem to be germinating, i think i'll drop some of the spores on PDA agar to see what happens, i read somewhere that PDA contains some type of compound that helps spores to germinate or something.
PDA is no better than MEA for spore germination. They both supply the spores with glucose/nutrients to promote growth and show fermentation reactions of certain unwanted microorganisms, except MEA is just one ingredient, Malt. PDA is two.. Potatoes and dextrose/glucose. You can't have one without the other in that recipe. I prefer malt since its easier to prepare.
Anyhow, media consistency has more of an effect on germination rates. Soft agar is the preferred consistency for spore germination. That being said, it's either your agar consistency, or the spores.

Hmm, well i knew the second jar looked very bacterial, but the first i was kinda doubting, either way, i dropped the agar knowing that they were kinda suspected, i just threw them in there cus those jars were just sitting there lonely and shiet lol.
Anyways, i'm still cleaning it out, this plate here is like my 3rd or fourth transfer

oh, i meant to mention that that's the numbers that my room is at, so they should both be higher in the actual tub, but I don't have any guages so I don't know the exact numbers.
there's condensation on the walls though ang it looks like a dialed in mono with slight evap around the lower holes.

I should have LI'd all my pans. I'm way too impatient for A2G. I thought pan cyan would be fast on grain, I've always heard that....
My grain is good. But damn it's getting close to a month now.

My grain colonizes slower than anyone I know around here. I'm not sure how the hell people claim to get full colonization from cubes in two weeks from a wedge.
I would have been happy with 3 weeks for these pans but it has been 3 and I even heated my room up to 72-74 after the first week.

74 I would think would be plenty warm.
I don't know where else to put them that is hotter. I really don't want to pay to heat it warmer than that. I figured low 70s I should have shaken after 3 weeks.

74 is fine plus its a couple degrees warmer in the jar. Might be bacteria slowing it down.

you said for the first week so it sounded like they got colder after that
