It’s been along time since I’ve made a post but I came across something this morning and figured I’d share a tip with y’all. While colonizing your grain don’t be afraid to let the temperature run from 80 to 86° In the incubator. But with doing that be sure and turn your jars upside down That way the yellow mycelium piss does not drown your grain spawn and also makes it To where you can easily drain it out.

i just stick it in the microwave for about 9 min on high to boil it off that way you dont have to drain it. and also if when u spawn ur grain you can eliminate most all chances of contams by taking a huge dump on it and spreading it about an 1/8 inch thick. then cover it with a sheet of foil before placing into your incubator at 106 deg for 72 hours. then you can put it into your fc and wait for fruits
lol wtf i hope your not serious

Please tell me you think 86 is hot. This species grows in tropical environments. If you think it never gets over 86 you need to get out and travel some

86 seems pretty hot. I don't even fruit that high. During colonization I have everything around 72 and fruiting is 77-81F or so. In the summer, my AC is programmed to 76F when I am at work...and my cultures seem to do really well (grow fast)
But I don't know that anyone has really tested higher temps than that.

Yeah, I had those pics uploaded some pages ago:

Of course those never fruited and contamed so I had to toss them. Well..the fact that I didn't have a martha might have added to that problem

Nice, Zifozonke. One in, 50 to go
jcm, I also have work to do. Need to solder the sensors to the arduino and let a little programming happen. I'm planning to create an app so I can set temp/humidity from my phone. But this will have to wait for some weeks, as I spent way too much time shrooming and agaring and marthaing and stuff.
As long as your setup spews out Pans, you don't have pressure to do anything. I just had to do this, because I never had Pans and I must have them. Soon...
