its damn near just like angams i couldnt belive it when he posted his pics i was like holy shit damn near like mine. but anyways mine is a 66qt tote filled about 2.5 inches with distilled water. with two 18.0 inch bubble wands. one on each long side. then in the middle there is four 6.0 inch air stones equally spaced apart from each other. they are powered by two really good air pumps from the hydro store here. then i have a submerged heater set at 88 deg f. at that setting i keep a constant temp of 79-81 deg f. and my rh stays a constant 95%. i have a ceiling fan that stays on low in the room at all times to keep air moving. then i have a fan across the room pointing directly at it from the end that comes on for 2 min every 4 hrs. when that comes on my rh drops down to 80-85%. my lights r just 2 clamp lamps with 6500k bulbs clamped on to the handle area of the tote. now the lid is not latched ever. it sits on top of the lamps clamps creating a little air gap for when the fan comes on. also the lid has 1/4 inch holes in a standard  2.0 inch grid(sgfc) pattern for air to escape and moisture to evap upwards and out. all those air wands give me a constant fae. my trays just sit on a kitchen/dishes type rack. and thats about it lol

i have just gotten into pans so im still learnin them this is just what i threw together out of what i had layin around from when i first started growin. i too tried and wasted time and $$ on all the dumb shit that wasnt needed lol. but my plan is to set up a cpl marthas i already have em i just gtta find the time and put em together. but this lil set up has been working very good actually so il prolly run both

thoughts are material and comprehensive!

I still haven’t finished this thread yet, I’m somewhere around page 340 right now but it wasn’t too much further back that I read a lot of complaints about overlay with Pan Jam and I don’t see any on your tray. Does the trich have a role in this? Or you got lucky with genetics? Or is that something you’ve been able to repeat multiple times but pulling out every trick in the book to prevent overlay?
Nice meaty stems on those beauties

ya they can tend to overlay more from what i have read and i did have 2 trays on the first go of these overlay like a bitch and had to toss. these r a clone from that first grow. i belive the overlay issue to be related to just bad genetics. as far as the trich playing  a role in that? there is no way at all that would be the case. my trich issue on this tray is due to dirty spawn i think cuz i know my culture was clean and the other 2 trays ive got goin rite now seem to be fine and r starting to pin now. so im chalkin this one up to a bad jar of grains until it shows its face on the other trays. im still new to pans and this is only my 2nd grow of em so im still tryin to learn their quirks

Hi,

I have two grow bags of Pans in straw/manure/WBS grow bags (a la Asuras Cultivation TEK).

They have been inoculated on 08.01. (10 days ago) and look quite colonized IMHO. I keep them at 26-28°C (78-82 Fahrenheit). During the last few days they have started to develop this yellowish liquid in the bags. I have read about metabolites in some threads. But I found that there are different opinions, if they appear due to bacteria or temps or stress. Some say, they're even beneficial...

Any opinion would be great.

Also, in Asuras TEK he states that he waits ~15 days before birthing and casing but it seems, that mine are colonized already. Should I get the substrate into trays and case already? Maybe someone has a pic of fully colonized Pan bags?

Thanks in advance!

The white dot on the bags is the sealed inoc-hole covered with a hot-glue pistol.

All right, thanks!

And the metabolites? Problem or not? It could also just be washed out color from the manure. idk

I've been trying to figure that one out myself. I think it's just poop water
because I see no sign of it at casing time.
