For sure man. I honestly haven't tripped in like a year, the last experience was too much lol.

I like that term though, bioassay is going in my vocab bank.

I know what you mean, man. I just had my first big trip in months...and while it can
be transformative, it can take a lot out of you. You'll be ready when you are
ready.

Absolutely gutted....mould got to one corner so chucked it. Start again. Will attempt another mono, but I'll introduce more far to the next one. Might just remove the lid and turn on the humidifier again.

Yeah it's pretty rough. My cultures are slow and the heater in the grow
room is cranked up. It seems like they just "know" it's the wrong time

If i were a frost bitten Canadian:wink: I'd shelve the  pans till next spring/early summer and work with species that don't require as much warmth or fae until then. It's WAY more work trying to dial pans in now than the early summer when they just about grow themselves. Trying to keep the temps near 80f/26c, humidity very high and lots of fae is alot of work and $ on heating bills. Pan cambs would be a better option at this time of year ime.

Yeah I just have a little electric heater and I can easily Hold mid 80s all winter. It’s so much cheaper to just go ahead and improve the insulation of your grow room if it needs it than to try and just push through it. I put some silver bubble insulation around the bottom 3 ft of my green house on the inside and a sheet of durorock into the frame around the outside, and now just one lil electric 1500w green house heater (only diff is water resistance) holds mid 80s on low setting. I’ll post some pics of it when I go out there later today but yeah the moral of the story is do the work and insulate! Lol

Hey Jake, the west coast of canada is pretty mild just like Switzerland  but the interior provinces get cold. Our house heat is on alot more which pushes the ambient humidity down to 20ish %. It's a lot of tweaking to keep your tubs humid enough when the fae requirements are high. Which can also create condensation issues in your room/house.
Sure it can be done but it's alot more work and expense.
A decent heater is $100. Insulation costs $ and time. Heating a room can easily cost $50+ (50-100) a month. It's just a lot easier to wait until the weather warms up. Caerulescens, sempers maybe, ovoids, and allenii  are much better suited to this time of year.
