jcm4620 said: lol ya i figured that much but as i said im only hoping for a cpl fruits to clone so i have something to work with. the syringe that i had was total shit to begin with and i know im not the only 1 who has had horrible problems with the jam prints/syringes that have gone around the market. so maybe i didnt make it clear enough in my op by saying the spawn wasnt that great to begin with but it was all i had. it was the only growth i got out of 3 mea plates 3 pda plates 3 brf paste plates and 1 grain jar. im just asking for the best way to try to get something from this to clone so i have something better than another shit print or syringe to start over from is all im hoping for as i will not purchase these again after all i have read about ppl having problems with massive overlay or marsh mellow growth like this all i want to know is should i just case now and hope for the best or give it a few days then case
man thats fucked up
how you get a good flush at least

Can someone orientate me?
These are all third transfers.

The ones i like the most
2.1.3, 2.2.1, 2.2.3 and 2.2.4. The others looks like shit.
2.2.4 looks particularly good. Are these ready for grains? or should i keep narrowing? If so, how many more transfers?
Should i just do 1 more transfer to other plates with 2.2.4 and then to grains?

I'm almost positive you've got some meshed-in mold in most of those plates if not all.

LOL I was thinking "well fuck I've been fruiting stuff like that for months"
@Alien This is just what I would do...I would take the ones you like and put them to grain...as long as they are moving fast. They look fine...a little wonky...but that's the way it goes sometimes. You don't want to wake up one day looking at T10 plates and they look the same as this. It's happened to me
I've been on a T3 or trash rule lately and it's saving me a lot of time.

Thanks i think Im going to do that. To be honest i just want to grow multispore and clone a fruit for great flushes, save the culture and fruit when needed. Wish i had 12 plates to inoculate 12 grain jars. But i only have 4. I might just do g2g with one of them.

So this is a new process I recently tried and it worked very well for cleaning up my spores to agar
If you only fill an agar dish with a spot of agar and do a transfer to it, after the mycelium is completely outgrown the agar only the mycelium will fill out over the crystal clear plate and can easily be distinguished

The bulk that I have done from this plate has all came out contaminant free and is growing extremely well

nuttn fancy but it works for me the monos are just cubes tho. the pan cyan trays are in propagation domes burried in wet perlite. i use one set of domes without the fae holes in them for colonization and just use the vents on top for g/e then i use these ones for fruiting normally i wouldnt use trays in them but this is just a very small ran as i had issues with the syringe as u may have read by now lol but im just hopin for the best and thanks for sendin the good luck cuz the way it looked luck is what ima need

So what's the difference between not letting Mycelium touch the walls but letting it touch the floor? Is a cool idea but if the floor is ok to take Mycelium from then why avoid taking myc that touched the wall? Not bashing, I might try this, just trying to understand the thought process.
