Changed agar recipe and finally got something That isn't struggling to even grow. Only problem is all my pan cayan Florida plates are all fluffy.

Before I scrap these I wanted to get a second opinion. Are they junk? Or should I let them grow out a bit more?

Honestly I have heard that you don’t want to use tomentose panaeolus cultures. You want wispy growth.

As a noob I always assumed "wispy growth" was just a layman's term for tomentose growth, sort of like what ropey is to rhizomorphic
What IS wispy growth then? Something halfway between tomentose and rhizomorphic?

Yeah that's what I've been reading, part of me was just hoping that after two months and about 20 plates it wasn't all a waste, lol.

This is actually my first time with Pan Cyan, I'm also trying to find where to transfer from this spore plate. It suppose to be a wild Pans cyans from some part of Mexico, it was sent to me by a mexican guy in the internet. I hope is indeed pans cyans. Any advice?

Can't see quite well, there's some condensation.
Maybe this picture looks better

OR this

The isolated growth that is there is not very wispy isn't it? like the one on the left.

Why would you scrap that?! Lets be optimistic here
You changed agar recipes and Quote:

Have you considered how the current recipe affects growth?
Honestly if its clean just take it to some jars and fruit it.
Do that AND THEN scrap them.
Dont waste your own time. Give a chance to something that may be perfectly good. And while your at it start another project.

Apologies, meant Asura's thread, not Mr Aliens... Accidentally read the "Last post" field instead of Poster. But here's what I was referring to:

I was under the impression that when the mycelium grows like that it just results in alot of layover and doesn't fruit, or am I misunderstanding?
