I wasn't talking about setting up a Martha for cubes, I meant that I was thinking of setting up a Martha for pans and stone producers instead of trying to scale down Jake's modified monotub setup.

This could be old information but there was a lot of talk at one time around the red caps and spores being caused by environmental stress. Blue Helix grew some out that were colled by _OttO_ I believe and they came out normal.

Interesting, I still believe the phenotype could be revealed and stabilized tho, I mean the pan hausteca spore’s had a purple pheno or it mutated and could be stabilized. Was that grow ms or iso? I suppose either way I’ll be happy even if they don’t hold their red color I’ll still have a Jalisco pan cyan

I hope you do get red caps man. I think they are beautiful when they do that. I still haven't done anything with my Hawaiian red spore, except make up a bunch of cool names for it

I'm glad I still have the sterized grain/hpoo/LC thing going. Oats really set me back on so many projects. Had 5-6 different pans on oats they all turned out like shit after a shake. Got some estero on rye that looks promising and hoping the sterile hpoo will be ready for a tray in a week or so. Couldn't get a very good shake on the hpoo jars. Dying to get my Pan on again.

Yeah oats can be really hit or miss with pans. I had 2 50 lb bags do just fine, then the 3rd bag everything stalled I switched to Millet & oats and then again to miller’s & rye & I gotta day that’s my favorite. Str8 rye will work so will str8 Millet but I have the fewest stalls and best moisture content with 75%millet 25% rye berries. (The Millet is also considerably cheaper than the rye berries)

My oats did just fine with my wild Florida pans... it’ll be fully recovered by tomorrow.
What kind of grain would you suggest for someone not doing the bag thing? I’m just going grain jar to pasteurized poo/straw/verm, recovering and casing with peat and verm. Should I bring the casing to field capacity?

straw on sale at lowes depot for halloween. easier for me then finding duke. city life
Iv been talking about straw for the longest time. Its totally easier than using manure, even though iv got free manure available.
Man last time I wasted a few tubs of some good non bacterial 100% colonized straw by spawning it to a cow manure mix.
Should have just used coconut that time to bulk up... or even pasteurized straw and a decent casing.
Garbage, total waste except for the leasons. But I know it was my fault as my manure game can get better.
Its way harder to mess up straw, just get the moisture right, not to wet. Hardly any smell, unlike that manure smell.

Thank you. Not sure if its sarcasm or not.
But what really holds me back is paying attention to detail on the fruiting conditions, not the straw.
You know that feel when you get loads of pins and only a few mature, and yet it still looks decent? yea.
Indoor grow, outdoor grow, its all personal use & I am happy with my grows.
And welcome to the Shroomery

Some pan Alabama. I guess Pans don’t really bruise like cubes huh? None of these bruise while harvesting

These started pinning before I even had time to put the casing on. I thought pans also required a casing
