No. Because if that were true...you would be one. It's a good boys club.
I made the mistake 5 years ago of questioning RR about just fucking BleAch. He got mad and we are were we are now.....
And I might not be back....

Nah. My guess is jake’s tag will come sooner than later as he is helpful and puts in a lot of time, does good write ups and produces great grows. Had you not taken a hiatus and continued doing what you were doing, you prolly would of had one by now.

I’ve only been a member for a lil over a year tho, that’s wut I’m saying. I got my OG TAG at Mycotopia on day two maybe shroomery just does it different? Idk It does seem that a lot of the longtime members focus primarily on cubes. I can think of why another reason why I might not have my tag yet but I would like to think that that’s not it. Lol I’m guessing it’s just time here but who knows but in the end it doesn’t really matter everyone on here knows who to come to with pan problems 😉 Anyone asking for a simple tech I send to yours anyone asking about just starting out I send it to sharper, And Asura and I are constantly bouncing ideas off of one another. The tag don’t mean much

Other than pissing off RR when I questioned him......OK.
So. My TEK is 6 years old. My hiatus has nothing to do with my contribution to this community. It hold it's own.

Like I said Mack it also could be just because we stay over in pens and exotics at least I do and we don’t get a whole lot of attention over here most of the tags focus on cubes

Yeah I’m really excited about it pans totally change the game for me I’m just really not that into cubes they give me really bad anxiety and more negative effects than positive. But with pans it’s almost always a good time. I got a bit of a tolerance but I’m off on 2.5 gs of bisp right now and I’m loving the glow I got! And they are way more effective at treating depression imo

Very old you will get much better info reading they this thread. How much space do you have? How much do you want to spend? How much do you want to grow? From there you can better select a tek. I don’t recommend following that video there are much more effective teks out there

I noticed no one seems to use coir in the substrate for pans- is there a reason for that? I was thinking a mix of manure, verm, and coir, leaving out the straw because I hate straw and I have tons of coir sitting around. I feel like it'd be okay but just wanted to make sure there's not a weird incompatibility with coir or something before committing spawn to it. Sorry if has been asked before, searched googles and didn't find a definitive answer.

I think you can definitely use coir. In fact, my Bisporus mycelium even loved Sawdust. It colonized it densely and quickly. My point is, anything cellulosic will probably work.

I'm an engineer too.
Are the Mac Cakes pasteurized or sterilized? I do not see that details in the tek?

Based on the comment above, this makes me more focused to produce pans. I also get some negative effects from cubes

Straw alone? I don't think they do good. Add poo, they are killer.
Man you are probably helping out so many people keeping your posts up don't let it faze you.
Also STRAW is my go to for pans, it works great I don't add anything else just chopped up straw from maintaining the yard. Its come to the point where I want to be using colonized sterilized straw to inoculate instead of agar. The myc jumps off of straw very fast.
They don't seem to have any problems with not liking coconut fiber either. There are knots & pins coming up from a uncased straw + coconut fiber spawn run that was way faster than anticipated, and one plain straw cased with coconut fiber. All to see if the stuff is suitable for either or neither.
My camera is a brick for now so no more pics.
I wonder what everyone thinks about dunking/hydrating before the first flush.

Thx guys ! Following your steps
It's not the crazy canopy I've seen here yet, but I'm working on it.
P.S : Doing a Pan biopsy to clone it must be one of the hardest things to do for me yet !
