Haha, yea they are white. Damn thumbnails are useless. Very wispy mycelium. A few chalky white parts on some grains.

At least you got trays, I made two attempts and got nothing but trich, 8 jars worth. So looks like I'll have to wait till I can either do some afar work to clean things up or get my hands on a cleaner print.

Good to see all of you at it again! My Pan Alabama LC is finishing up so I'll be injecting into sterilized substrate bag some time this week and then to find some goodies to get some fog and fae going for the fruiting stage.

So some of you guys seem to agree on a 1/4 ratio. So does that mean when using these 3 quart Pyrex dishes I only use half quart of spawn to 2 quarts of substrate?

When the site was down that’s what I ended up doing but no pins or anything yet. It’s probabyl screwed seems like there were a lot of metabolites once the substrate was fully colonized so I’ll probably end up chalking this up as a loss

I have metabolites sometimes. If the sub looks healthy and smells healthy I will case and fruit it.

Hey kids... I got a few plates of Pan Aussie going again. While we were on vacation I tried to resuscitate a plate of Pan Aussie both on agar and in LC and... neither worked. Put spores to agar, got them on T3 now and next transfer will be to grains and LC and see where this takes me. I have some crazy fuck ideas I'm going to run, and if my hunch goes as well as I hope I think I may have found a simpler way to grow pans... we'll see. I'm pessimistic.

Good to see ya'll here.

I'm on T2 With some Aussies, this myc seems bizarre compared to the other species I've worked with. I had a lot of strange looking plates that I couldn't really identify.

I think I'm gonna pursue this plate, mostly because I think it looks nice

(This pic should work? It works for me at least)

Anyone have any crazy looking pan plates? I'm curious what other formations it can make.

Svetaketu, I have had plenty of plates look like that. I have no idea what causes that.
By any chance is the plate getting 12/12 light?

And to the rest of you...where the hell are ya'll. We dropped to page 3 ffs.

Good to know! And my plates get ambient 12/12 lighting.

Would you say similar looking plates had a decent success rate? Or more often ended in fuzzy overlay messes?

I think the plate look good. Everything on the leading edge is great. I've seen the rings on my plates
when I used to keep them on the same rack as my shoeboxes with 12/12 lighting...which is why I was
asking. Don't know if that's a factor or not, but I haven't had it since I started keeping my
plates in a closet.
