No they do not fill with water if they are doing that your foggers are running too often/long.
It’s just to make for easy cleaning I actually cut a piece of plastic that I attached Velcro to that wraps under the tent I just hide and spray it down when I clean also. This is not necessary but it helps create a better seal ensuring more of your air is drawn in through the HEPA filter located up top and helps you optimize your cycling.

Thanks brother! Yeah def taking traits from both these trays, I’m noticing bisp and trop do better with a higher base rh than where pan cyans run optimal. As soon as either gets just a lil too dry it’s stalls

Yes you still don’t want to mist them but they do like the foggers cranked up a lil beyond what than pan cyans like.

Just change it back

what Type of thermometer do you guys that pasteurize use? I’ve been through like five digital thermometers they keep shitting out after a few tries and read way off.

They also do it at the worst times, like right before I go to pasteurize, or even right I’m the middle. I have one saying 190 and it’s just sitting on the counter lol

I use a very cheap mechanical thermometer. Works flawlessly.

My fear with the mechanicals is going over. With the digital I let it climb about 20 degrees, at that point you still can’t even see it on the mechanical. I shut the stove off after that 20 degree raise but it still climbs to that 160 range. So I’m scared if I shut it off at 120 (when the mechanical thermometer registers) then I’ll go over that prime temp range

I love the slowcooker idea I have several already. Make perfect sense. The holding temp for food is in the pasteurization range. Idk why I didn't think of that myself.

I also use a  cheap mechanical thermometer. The digital ones kept crapping out on me and one day I was pretty broke and just bought the mechanical one. It's lasted ever since.

KapnDank I think he uses a rice cooker of some sort that’s why I asked about a link because it might be different than a crock pot type pot.

Grimsweeper I’ll have to check into the sous vide as idk if I’d have any other use for it. Depending on the price of those I’ll figure out what I need to do.
