I’ve brought this up here before. My tropicalis and my Sandose have thrown stones. There is also a site where he specifically cultured stones as a project from tropicalis and cincts. There are also some talk of it from other members here in this thread if you care to look into it.
Here’s my pics. First from old tropicalis. Very last is from my Sandose. People see these plates and toss but if you investigate further you will see stones.

I know that link. Cyber shrooms also shows stones from Cambodginiensis and pan tropicalis. Brought this up before but wasn't taken seriously

You would have to check them. I shine light under and see...if not I’ll open the plate and gently scrape with a sterile scalpel. One of the biggest things I do is look for the circular growth that seems to accompany the stones it’s not always there but a good indicator for me.

Man I feel like a kid peeking through the fence at a baseball game wishing he could play. Not sure what happened but my last 3 small trays only produced a few fruits. Think im going to take a break for a bit and work on cultures. I have 20 qts of PE to work on anyway. Good think I have an half ounce of pans to tide me over for a bit.

Stalled jars usually are bacterial just take a sniff you can easily ID bacterial jars this way. But generally if the grain is not colonized in 10-14 days something is wrong and I will likely need toss the jar

I wanna see how you're fruiting the cakes brother.
I had some extra grain from my last grain run, decided to do up 2 grain/coir/verm bags and sterilzie them.
For the fuck of it I inoculated with a hoogs culture dish and the other with the goop from the bottom of a year old zap LC that I thought was bad for sure.
Both looked fully colonzied this morning, gave them a shake to be sure- I plan to spawn them when I get back to town mid next week.
Any suggestions on how to run them? I was thinking thin sub in a shoebox and a few chinese containers for both (I could probably do a small take out container and a thins ubbed shoebox for both.
My grow room is around 73-85F and not terribly dry.
