If I'm not mistaken VL did all his pan cyans with plain old PF Tek. Seems like it should work. You might have to do a lot of manual fanning though.

I'd have them in the GH with all the fixin's. I just have a bunch of pan LC's then I don't have much use for other than going to grain. I like how you sterilize all your shit at once and then inoculate but I don't use bags so can't really go that route unless I switch it up.

Nice Jake! Those bama's are treating you a lot better than they did me.
Have some weirdness going on over here. This Hawaiian I am growing over here is dropping red spores. Managed to get 3 prints of it.

Just from talking about it with ya on a
@bw86 No clones because it sucks. It's going to be a failed grow. The pins are crawling and there are a lot of aborts. Blue Helix once speculated the red spores might come from environmental stress.

Man you guys are just killing it! I got all my stuff almost ready. My two timers are coming in tomorrow and Iβll have my JOC tent set up! Now I just need some clean spawn!
Jake have you ever grown stone producing varieties such as atl or Tamp in your JOC tent?

Good to know Iβll have to figure out a schedule for less fae. Atl7 will be the first thing I put in there before I get the pans ready.

Thatβs awesome!
Originally I was just going to do a basic tent with the cool mist on the bottom. It brought the humidity up to 90 percent before I pulled it out. I didnβt like how the cool mist was drenched already in that short amount of time. So I guess Iβll be doing the cycling very often like jake does. Hopefully I can get it right the first time for atl 7.
Either way Iβm glad to finally join you guys in this thread.

So do these need a more "complicated" set up than the usual cube FCs? Seems every tek Ive seen (albeit there arent many) have more than just a tub with some sort of FAE but like a martha or some other pro setup with all kinds of tubing and what not. Basically im wondering if these would at least do well enough on something like an unbodified mono in the corner of a room with lights and stuff.
To that end would a top layer and going straight to "fruiting conditions" at spawn be a bad thing? Seems a post colonization casing is a favorite for pans but an equally thin top layer serves the same purpose no?
Also, im definitely going to use manure in some form but adding coir to the mix shouldnt be a bad thing either right? Im thinking a 1:1:1 of Manure:Grains:CVG and either top layer a'la Bod or case with CVG. May throw in worm casings if I end up having to get composted manure.
Oh and sorry if all this has been asked already in this 400+ page thread, heheh.

It can be done if you set up on mono tub with a fan pointed at it and you get a reptile fogger you can manually re-hydrate your casing without ruining your fruits and create evaporation you wonβt get quite as good results as you could cycling in a Martha but you can Achieve good results. I also made of fully Automated cycling tub system you need a couple things but itβs really not all that complicated there are grows that are completely unassisted there is a pan cake tech is someone mentioned as well as a few shotgun style grows. There is definitely more than one way to skin a cat but you will find it is definitely not as easy to do as cubes

I read the entire thread and there are only a few examples of successful monos. Most have as much fruit as as 4 1/2 pint cakes for 5+ quarts of grain plus another 5 quarts of sub. Cakes and trays in SGFC yield better. Shea25, tektonic, and macmeridin have good examples of successful cake and tray grows.

You dont want nutes in your βtop layerβ coir serves no purpose for pans they like dung & straw.
