I wish I knew why you've had trouble with P Bisporus. They've been my first and only pans I've brought to fruit so far. Makes me think I may need to do something differently when I fruit cyans.

My pan bisp tray started coming up yesterday only been in FC 5 days today. Gave 14 days for incubation other than that just ran it like my other pans. I got a few more ms trays of this coming but once I get a few good ISOβs Iβll step up the bisp amount

Incubation meaning 14 days after casing?

Jake you don't think bisporus needs more nutrition than cyans? I know that timewise they take twice as long.

Asura, do you just pull your lc into the syringe with the lid open in front of a hood, since you don't use ports?

Yes but I make all my LC for just one grow only. I would do it differently if I was planning to hold on to it.

Hell yeah! Iβm gonna try and cross pan trip & pan bisp next. If I remember correctly both have 2 spores per basidia. It will still be a few weeks before I have isoβs Of both but my trop trays should pop any day now also

In my case better late than never! I was just about to toss this P. Bis tray I cased 18 days ago. No mold or anything so I just let it sit in the GH till I had the ambition to chuck it. Then I come home to this little trooper.

Thank you my friend and good fortune to you.

Jake, I did it!
Beat my record by 3g. Came home to 11g in the dehydrator bringing the tray total up to 31g.
I am stoked!

I'm about to begin my pan journey and am wondering are there any pan varieties that are easier to deal with? I currently have spores for pan Australia, Jamaica, Estero, Florida, and Hawaii.
If it matters then I am using lme agar and plan to make pancakes with either a g2g or lc. Im still unsure on what fc I will use. Depending on cash I have on hand I may use either a sgfc, setup like tektonic, or one of Jake's tub or jartha teks.

Soapy water + h2o2 still air box accident dropped AKA fail dropped clone, 1 sterilized tub, into 3 pastuerized straw tubs, successful spawn run, lucky go figure, experimental casing, in addition to 1 with no casing (leaf litter casing tomorrow!).
Why fail? The straw for the spawn run was not tightly packed, there are pockets below the casing which are causing pin mayhem and not the good kind. Bottom pins, side pins, middle pins
no consolidation period. Hopefully it all pushes through, catches up and picks up.
1+ Leason learned, pack straw tightly during spawning.
Edit: looking forward to when/if Poppy B comes back from the stars ; )

I think the Aussie is the easiest. If you got that print from me, it's definitely from a line that has been domesticated through a lot of grows.
