I interesting, they are among my fastest. I suppose it could be agar recipe (I like peptone) or more likely I’m just used to my ISO’s. All my new pan ms plates are moving so much slower than my finished ISO’s. They should def speed up on grain, LC moves much slower for me than dishes but I also use whole dishes to a jar

So the pan hausteca is pearl white with purple spores. They also do not bruise near as easily as other pan cyans but if you pinch they def bruise blue. Now when I received the wild print my first several trays were virtually sporeless so I bred and cloned iso’s specifically for good spore production. So it’s either one of two things either it’s an entirely new pan sub species or it’s pan cyan hausteca and I mutated the spores purple with all my meddling (Alan thinks the latter) I’m hoping it’s a new pan sub species  l. Either way one thing is for certain it’s potent as all fuck!!!!

That is good to hear. Have yet to put it to agar, bc I need to improve my Pan skills before I start too many varieties at once. Already dealing with some 15 cubes varieties, mexicana, Galindoi and pans now. More than enough for a noob. Put te azurescens in the fridge for now. Gotta prep the yard first. It's a wilderness now.

This is one of my three LC's...it's way more clumped together than the other two. I have a bit of straw it's clinging to. Seems too good to be true after 48hrs from agar inoculation.

I'm finishing grows from a couple of wild Pan cyan prints. These are from agar selections rather than multispore. Agar-> liquid culture -> sterilized substrate->trays.

Beulah (from the Florida panhandle area) is the 2nd flush from two agar selections:

Here's first flush of two selections of a wild Hawaii(South Point), F2 & F1 . BTW the first flush is often out of sync and kinda ratty looking, these are no exception:

Both varieties printed well- here's some Hawaii prints.

Nice job on pan-hi. I tried my hand at those from vendor spores and I've given up on them.  :frown:

First Copelandia grow!
I used Waylit’s Pan cyan tek (https://mycotopia.net/topic/4408-waylits-pan-cyan-tek/) for the first time grow. I used a couple of differently sized trays and small containers. I am now to the step where I wait for the myc to colonize my layer of casing (took a pic of one container to show off the cute myc) :-). Now that I’ve made it to the final stages and will be ready for fruit conditions soon, i was wondering if y’all would offer a little insight into when I should remove the “hole poked” foil tops from the containers? Do I need to wait for nearly 100% colonization? Thanks! I noticed a touch of contam at the bottom of my taller cup container, so I’m hoping the mycelium will outrun it and produce at least a few fruits! my setup has them at 27 Celsius with 95% humidity.

Also, the mycelium took really well to sorghum grain, in case anyone is interested in trying it out.

to the extent that the mycelium colonizes the casing, its purpose has been defeated. that's about all i can speak to from experience.

best wishes for success.
