Well I got really good mycelic growth on straight coir. It just wouldn’t fruit. It actually didn’t even look like pan mycelium on the coir it was thicker. I didn’t think it was a pan this was the mistaken Sub trop trays. All the non poo ones Colonized well and then did nothing until contamination weeks later

Has it? I’ve heard people mention grows with no Dung The only pictures I ever saw were pretty sparsely populated subs. But it’s definitely cool you’re doing it another clue to what exactly they are after

It has taken months but the new trays are on day 5 and are still perfectly hydrated, and I’ve increased evap even more than before! Stoked! Ps neo is flying thru grain I’m pretty confident they will be as popular as Tamps within a year
I built a Jartha to your specs except using a reptile fogger and the outlet fan (54 cfm pulling out the back left hand side). I am using 2 timers, the 1st starting the fogger for 3 min/20 min and the 2nd starting the fan beginning at the 2.5 min mark of the fogger and then running for 1.5 min. The top shelf runs 95-99% RH in the 20 min cycle, the bottom 2 shelves are at 99%+ RH. My ATLs fruit like crazy but my Pans have not provided any pins
My question: what are the settings on your Jartha? What parameters are your judging as 'dialed in'?
Thank you for your support

Fogger 3min on 10 min off Fan 3 min on 9 min off Start your fan on the 2 min mark after your fogger comes on that will creat a repeating cycle. Although I doubt your fan is as powerful as the bathroom fans you may need to adjust from my parameters to fit your equipment

Puduwoke said: So, If someone else asked what I asked. I would of just said, well open the door to the GH more and you will get more fae and most likely more evaporation. BUT, I have a InkBird humidity controller. So if I increase my fae. Either with my speed controlled fan that is pumping are out or open the door to the GH. My humidifier will just run more often and those make the casing even more moist.
Puduwoke - saw this go unanswered. I'm assuming here that you're using a combo temp and Rh controller. The way that I think about this is that the Inkbird has a heat and Rh setting with offsets. Depending on your configuration you can play with these variables to achieve what you're looking for.
For instance you can either trigger a heat or cool cycle on one input. In our case heat is the most likely. Maybe you set to 75* with an offset of 2 degrees or so until you trigger it to turn on again.
You can also set the Rh to be on a spectrum as well. Maybe you set to 95% but set that offset to be a bit wider. This allows for a wider spectrum of Rh drop (allowing for overall evaporation) to occur before triggering a humidity cycle again.
So, if you have an independent fan running on a timer you can allow that fan to introduce FAE which should encourage evaporation but the Rh offset allows for a buffer of sorts before the humidity cycle kicks back in.
What that offset should be I don't know as I'm dialing my own GH in as well and everyone's setup is going to be different depending on equipment, ambient temp/Rh, etc. That being said however you can measure the Rh drop from the start of a fan cycle to the end of a fan cycle to see what kind of drop to expect. You can then choose to adjust your Rh offset to allow for that span (or more/less) to accommodate evaporation before re-humidifying. Make sense?
Good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to answer! The post in your sig is epic! I have modified the tent to your exact set up. I don't have the exact timers however. I was thinking of using my Inkbird to keep the RH set at 85 and then have the fan kick in on it's timer for 2 mins per hour. I have done a test and the RH plummets quickly in that 2 mins. Then the Inkbird kicks in and begins re-hydrating again. Do you think that the once every hour is good? I just don't have a way currently to do your overlapping cycles of fanning and misting with 10 mins of rest in between. Trying to mimic it in the best way I can figure out.

Yeah trying to pull it off without cycle repeat timers is impossible I tried the same thing and no it’s not enough I mean you can still grow them but you won’t be joc cycling. I fear you will over hydrate. Now I’m sure you can find a balance where you can get fruits you will probably have to dial your fogger back. you want to hold about 88 but by cycling you can ramp your evaporation up even more but you got to have two cycle repeat timers

Good questions. Would maybe be a good idea to also ask them in the Jartha thread itself?

Absolutely! It is the requiem for the joc tek so I guess it should be over there because there is more than one way to skin a cat and you don’t want ppl confusing teks. The cycling is very specific

Can anyone tell me what is best. I've got a few pan pins in both my pan trays. This is a low tech grow. Now, do I stop misting completely or do I better keep misting the sides of the sgfc?

So, first, this man is adorable!
Secondly, is his sterlie technique horrible or is it me? He spawned a moldy cake! Just like "oh, as you can see this is totaly contamiated... let's spawn it before it gets worse!"
I was kinda in shock this whole video. He does everything we kinda say not to (heating pads, spawning moldy grains, etc)... but really it was the sound of glass on glass when he's in his SAB that made me super nervous. Like every time he set down a jar in the aquarium and it goes *CLUNK!* I was waiting for that shit to just shatter.

I couldn't get past 2 minutes. Too many long pauses between sentences. Secondly chicken poo is extremly 'hot'. It takes a long time for it to be usful for anything even as garden fertilizer.
