When you do LC to sterilized substrate I understand that.
But do you do it yourself when you do grains to substrate Jake?

Well I mean yeah when I cut my Spohn into my bulk I can mix it together in the tray then it takes about seven days to colonize are usually give it an extra three then I case give it 12 hours and place into fruiting conditions. I don’t need to reconstitute as the bulk is inoculated in its final resting place

@Asura: thanks, I'll let my pan subs consolidate before fruiting from now on then. Here's still hoping for a couple of pins anyway. Keep y'all posted!

None taken brother. However, the prints are clean. Asura got good growth out of them and I have germinated two of them on agar myself with no problems.

Yes it's all very rough looking here too, the myc on agar that is.
Think I may have some pins in one of my trays though, but they're so small I won't be sure untill tomorrow. Also it's too cold here atm. 70f is max temp in our house. GH will come in tomorrow. Then we can see if we can get temp and humidity dialed in.
Obviously, atm everything is still far from ideal but boy am I learning stuff

So for everyone wanting to know how to get top quality pan poo this is how you do it I have 50% horse (& sum straw as they are from horse stalls. 25% black cow 25% dairy cow. I mixed it all together in a big pile and I will continue to mix and add in at approx that ratio and in a few months I’ll have a perpetual supply of perfect pan poo

quick question for the pros about recovery...
Do you wait until then mycelium has covered the surface completely and then call it good and case it? or do you wait a set amount of time regardless of the visual condition?
I have a tray of pan cy HI I crumbled yesterday and the whole thing has completely recovered in one day - top to bottom. I'm just wondering if it were yours would you case it now or wait a few days?

Hey there scat people! So... I'm realizing I'm going to run into an issue since it seems like hpoo is the way to go for all this. I'm pretty much limited to Black Kow manure for now and I'm realizing that since I was doing research a while back that I failed to notice the "H" in front of "poo" for all these teks.
Can Cpoo substitute for Hpoo? Sigh, fucking city girl ... I know. I'm not following around the city cops who ride horses either. Too much explaining.

I’ve never used straight black cow before I know that they are fed a lot of corn and pans seem to be grass loving they just need to be digested first but it does work especially if you cut in straw my mixture right now is about 25% black cow 25% dairy 50% horse. But I will still only cut that in at 35% most of the rest of my substrate is shredded straw. I actually did a lot of work on my pool today I added about 300 pounds of black cow and 600 pounds of horse, I already had a decent pile of Dairy and free range beef poo. Once I got it all mixed up really well I soaked it with water using the jet spray to bore water tunnels into the pile all the way around tomorrow out in the hot sun this will evaporator effectively creating a steam cooker speeding up the process at which I achieve optimum poopy-ness
