Good luck mate! Im also doing my first pans at the moment.

Jake And Asura. So you guys both consolidate pans before casing? Do not remember reading that. Maybe in your write up Asura now that I think about it.

Please let me know since I have pans colonizing as we speak.

Awesome Sunny! I don't know if you trip or not, but you now have some VERY potent mushrooms on your hands. Be careful :awesomenod:

I do trip and I can’t wait!  This is a first for me . Should I get a trip sitter? 😂

I've only been able to try my Pan bisporus Once so far. .06g had me trippin pretty good for 6 hours. It's hard to describe but different than cubes. I think there's a little more mind-fuck and definitely visuals are stronger. I'm waiting until I have the house to myself for a day to try it again.

Shit Asura, I was thinking of starting with half or 3/4 g 😝 my windows of opportunity are getting seriously small so I better get on it!

.6 g Grim?  That’s wild, wow.  .1g an hour, that’s pretty good mileage! 😂

I was on vacation hitting some beach bars and got a little freaked out at times. Couldn't read a menu because the words were swirling all over the place. That's partly why I say they're different than cubes. Could have been first-time Jitters too though lol. Next time I do it alone I'll try a little over a gram and see what this shit's all about.

They are much more visual than cubes often times I can’t watch movies on pans because the visuals are too intense but I get much less of a mind trip often none  at all

That sounds great to me, I can love a good mind find from time to time on cubensis. To be able to have a trip with just more visuals and less of a head trip would be a great thing to have as a trip option.

The hausteca at around 1 g are closed eye only. You feel %100 sober unless you close your eyes haha then it’s intense as fuck! Like you forget your eyes are closed intense

Why do some of you keep obsessing about casing pH? Get sum casing, mix with CaCO3, bam. Simple as that.

More often than not you don’t need to add anything to your Peat Moss and vermiculite usually the pH is just fine on it’s own. I add lees than a table spoon of HL

Myco is the most rewarding hobby I have ever had,  between cultivation and research,  it takes 95% of my time and gives me more satisfaction than anything else.

Just lost another tray.😩 this early spring poo is killing me! I have noticed though that the longer I will let my bulk sit after pasteurization the better it does. the trays that are still around their bulk sat for about two weeks and the zap bulk sat for about a month and a half and I haven’t lost any of those. So there is definitely something to be said for the healthy microbe count. I haven’t been able to get any of my sterilized bags to work with this Pooh. With high-quality Pooh I noticed no difference between pasteurization and sterilization but with the subgrade Pooh sterilization is damn near impossible so far

@Puduwoke, @Tweeq

After I lay my trays I wait 5-10 days before I fruit them. I call this period "recovery"....as in the
substrate has just been beaten to hell and back being crumbled into the tray.

Thanks. But I think Its a tiny bit different or maybe not. Since your substrate is already fully colonized. I guess Its not that big of a difference tho.. Both substrates are fully colonized.

I will consolidate (recover) for atleast a few days. Thanks Asura :takingnotes:
Makes it so there is no stress with making my casing and the other trays has time to catch up.

Part of the reason it’s a good idea to let your substrate recolonize is because you want it to switch from colonization cycle to fruiting cycle before you add your casing you do not want the culture to colonize your casing
