Yeah Igot tons of measurements just not posing all of them. I’ve mostly focused on length because that’s what I was told to but I have bunches of other measurements. Right now I’m trying to get a good shot of the basidium so I can count the sterigmata but so far all I see are cystidia. At least I think so.

Cool pics Jake!
Just curious what these pan jams would be so short. I took over 40g wet out of here but the year we’re just barely above the soil surface. New ones coming up look like they might get taller. This pan has been through hell of me messing with a new repeat cycle timer and getting a new humidifier set up, lots of bruising, but I harvested before I abused them so bad. . My temps were lower than pans usually like also.
Here is before I harvested.

And 3 days after harvest. They were chunky solid mushrooms but stems were less than 1cm tall.

Or it could be environmental, the fluctuations caused by the system failure could have stressed out the mycelium.

Is there a 12 step program for this?
When they say Shrooms aren’t addictive.... They weren’t talking about growing.
I guess I’ll know when the second flush s in if it’s genetics or poor conditions (perhaps both). I was so excited at the awesome pinset and then they just stopped growing up 😝 Could insufficient light effect this also?

I suppose it could be in some cases in mine it was def genetic as I had canopies of hausteca right next to my dwarfs. Which means they were also likely same spawn and bulk run

I mean... I bought two tents out the door because I thought I'd use them all... why wait until you might like it when you're pretty sure you're going to do it because of mycompulsion anyways?
I mean, shit, I literally started growing edibles because I thought it would be neat to clone a grocery store mushroom for shits and giggles... then I had a plate full of gorgeous mycelium and had to do something with it.

Well Home Depot lost my tent order so I re-ordered and bought another on Amazon so I could get it fast. Now that I have it up and running for pans and stuff I just said fuck it and bought all the shut to outfit another GH for cooler temps. Ive grown oysters and shit but nothing at the level a GH can do. Looking forward to dueling GH's.

Fuck. I just spent almost the entire day going down a lime rabbit-hole. What instigated this f-ing adventure was me trying to make a batch of casing this morning and not being able to dial in the pH. I had ordered some hydrated lime and added the correct amount but the pH wasn't moving above 7. I learned that what I had received was actually calcium carbonate (agricultural lime).
I went on a mission to find hydrated lime in my hometown (a large metro area) - and it was surprisingly difficult. I found: dolomitic lime, agricultural lime, pelletized lime, quicklime, and even bags labeled hydrated lime that were partly CaOH but also a bunch of magnesium (in other words, dolomitic lime).
Let me just say that if you're trying to dial in your casing pH to that sweet spot from 7.2-7.8 using anything but calcitic hydrated lime (without magnesium) you might as well be using an actual fucking lime...
... you might have more luck.

Rant complete. Who can recommend a decent pH meter that doesn't suck?

Awesome Sunny! I don't know if you trip or not, but you now have some VERY potent mushrooms on your hands. Be careful

Another 3 contamed pan trays! I got plenty of good ones but my contam rate has def jumped since I ran out of my good aged poo. Fresher stuff will work but it def makes life harder. I can’t wait until it gets back to that I’m gonna stock up big time! Working on my own pile now, But in all reality I’m still a few months out🤬

Thanks! I will give 1 inch cut Timothy hay a shot in one of the trays and get back to y’all. Fingers crossed that it will work just as well as regular straw.
I am also going to try out my new seedling heat mat for pan fruiting. I’ve seen that some folks have done this with success once they tweaked the setup to get more consistent temps throughout (e.g place a layer of something between the tub/trays and mat.

Seriously, I would try 1g dry first until you know what you are dealing with. Even the jump from 1g to 1.5g is huge. My first time I lemon tek'd 2g because I was an idiot and went into a level 5 trip within 15 minutes. Like I couldn't tell what universe I was in. Pretty scary if you don't know what's coming
This is a glorious mushroom!

Hi guys,
My first ever go at Pans. Two 2 liter freezer trays in a sgfc, buried in wet perlite (greenhouse setup for pans and ps. Mexicana is a project for later this year).
So I obviously made some mistakes. I forgot about them needing to consolidate for 5 to 7 days, before casing. Think I cased 24 to 48 hours after spawning. And from what I read on sub depth, it's probably a bit too deep too (tray is 8cm deep, which is 3.15 inches)

Oh yes, and there's verm in the casing. Not everything is readily available here, ie peat moss. Can't get that stuff anywhere.
You guys think I have a shot at a few fruits or is it f-ed?
