Second flush pan jams. Attempting to print another 50 caps.

There isn't any set and forget method for pans that I know of. I've got a fogger and I'm still hand watering my subs. Pans are a lot of work compared to cubes.

I think I'll get one of those oxygen things and hook it up to my humidity system( which will have to be rebuild I noticed )
Tell me if there's anything standing out that's wrong
What I'm thinking is doing bags mixed with the grain and sub in it just to make things easy on me
For sub I'm thinking of something like 50% Hpoo 25% coir 25% verm ? ? And the do 1 part grain to two parts sub ? ?
Inoculate using agar wedge's into the bags or maybe I should knock them up with agar LI? ? ?

The O2 condenser is nice but I still have not proven that it does anything I think it does however it does not run in one of my Martha’s and I still get full canopies. I was supposed to take detailed notes on the FX if any of running the oxygen condenser but I’ve been so busy with other projects I haven’t really done it yet but they are expensive you do not need to go out and get one to be successful. Everything you need to build your Martha system is at Home Depot except for the repeat cycle timers you get those on Amazon buy the Air innovations humidifier from Home Depot ($40) drip tray $10 Sum hosing $10, A bathroom fan $16 and a Honeywell fan insertable hepa filter Then some Velcro and plastic wrap. Then I use the LED light strips also from Home Depot that I can change the spectrum on and I can light the bottom of every shelf and the top of the tent it works out perfectly the multi spectrum is $50 the white only is 35

I'm also working on panaeolus cyanescens. It's the first time I've ever grown them 😁. If I can get at least 10 dry grams I'll be happy lol. That would be 10 doses of the best mushroom experience that you can have. Hard to complain about that..

Would you mind to explain how you hand water them? With a syringe and just drop water on the casing where it looks dry or?
@Jake You inspired me when we talked about having a fan attached to the GH for FAE, so... here we got it! We will see how good it works soon. I can control the speed of the fan so we will see if I will have it on super low speed 24/7 or higher speed on a timer, either way thanks!

Question concerning field capacity: Asura said: This is my substrate for pan cyans when I grow using direct inoculation: Horse manure 675g Milo 250g (WBS is fine) Straw 75g Vermiculite 100g Water 1900g
Substrate is over field capacity. By the time PC'ing is done, the bags are inoculated and grown out, moisture will be perfect.
1900/(1900+675+250+75+100) = ~63% water
For Cubes: the typical water:substrate ratio is 3250/(650+3250)= ~83%
This is a significant difference to obtain field capacity. Is the field capacity for Pans that much less than Cubes?

Field capacity for me for pans is when you pick up a handful and squeeze it and about 7 to 10 drops come out.

This is a very specific recipe that produces two spawn bags worth of sub. If you were to mix this up it would probably seem really wet to you if you have been growing lots of cubes. Also, as far as water goes...a total of 240ml of LC will be added to the overall substrate, so it's going to get even wetter.

22g dry from ~300g wet. I've never actually measured cubes, but they say 1:10. This is looking like ~13.6g wet per 1g dry. Pans really shrink up. This equals 22 really great trips...or 11 "oh my god should I call an ambulance" type trips.

Im struggling to produce good grain spawn with pans on oats. I can reliable enough do other species (cubes, oysters, tamps, alt's), but pans always end up bacterial and wet looking. Not sure if its my cultures or something else. Anyone else have experience with this?
I've almost convinced myself that they don't like oats.

This could be genetic. You got a pick of the plates you started with? The only time I have used grain spawn for a pan grow, I've used rye and they tore that up. But then I got nothing but overlay on those grows

Here are some Pan Aussies from your spores that I used.

I don't have pics of my Hawaiians or Jams. But here were some plates I have picked from:

Those Aussies could use a transfer or two and they should even out. I don't, man, maybe it is the oats

Yeah, Im going to keep working with them. The Jams didn't work well. The Hawaiians won't germinate. The Aussies came out so so on grain. Going to give them a shot soon and keep working with the plates. I will not be defeated!!
