In the past I have used 60ml of LC for 1 bag. The latest jam grow used 120ml of LC per bag. I buy boxes of the 60ml syringes by the 100.
As for spawn bags I generally suck at them. The tyvek sleeve method is the only method I have gotten consistently good results with.
fish has an interesting method, but I have not tried it: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25367454

Thank you for the link. Seems like a great way of doing it without tyvek sleeves. For fun and experince I will try doing it that way as well. I do agree that Its less work if I get it to work.
Guess I will have to make some LCs and try to find me some big syringes today or tomorrow. I would just zip tie the bags close as soon as I take them out from the PC and then inoculate them inside my SAB.
I guess you shake the bag well after you inoculated it?
Thanks for your recomendations Asura!

Asura said: This is my substrate for pan cyans when I grow using direct inoculation. That is, the substrate is placed in span bags (3 full quarts each bag), PC'd for 4 hours at 15 psi and upon cool down inoculated with 120ml of LC.
Horse manure 675g Milo 250g (WBS is fine) Straw 75g Vermiculite 100g Water 1900g
Substrate is over field capacity. By the time PC'ing is done, the bags are inoculated and grown out, moisture will be perfect.
Ideally, spawn bags should be .5µ versus .2µ. Moisture content is just better at spawning.
Would this work with oats or rye since I do not have Milo? Also, is this recipe with dry grains or have they been hydrated?

@Puduwoke I fill the bags with a plenum of air from The flowhood before I seal them. Not sure about any other way or if the filter patch provides enough air without doing that.

I always try to fill my Spohn bags with as much air from my flow hood as possible before I seal it. The key to Spohn bags is not over filling them or over shaking them. I have 3 hausteca prints left first 3 to pm me get em

Since I do not have a flowhood (yet) we will have to see how to will work for me to do it inside the sab I guess "/
Another question I wrote before maybe you mist it or you are busy, but since I do not have milo, could I change it for oats you think, and in your recipe is the grains hydrated or dry?

Thank you Asura, look what you did to me today.. after you wrote I went to the store and got 60ml syringes so I can try what you told me! Got myself 4 of these!

@Puduwoke,
I think any grain would do. But my experience is with milo and WBS, so I can't say for sure.
I add the grains in dry because my sub is a little over field capacity.

I will be putting out a huge write up on pans soon that will get into all the details.

@Asura can not wait for your write up! Perfect timing since I have my first pans on agar T6 looking good and uniform as we speak. I will try using oats in your recipe. Also since I do not have a flowhood I will not good a lot of air into my substrate bag once in the SAB after PCed so I will tell you how that goes also.
@MF,Jake And Asura you guys rock and thanks for all the help you given me and the community!

I mean they can be grown in a traditional mono with just a few alterations to the design you’re not going to get a full tub or anything but you wil get a few clusters. you will have to do some hand watering but that’s about as low maintenance as they get lol Well not even low maintenance building a Fruits in chamber with a system is more low maintenance but requires effort and some money and space and all that do you want low maintenance or just low cost?

I mean my Martha set up is pretty low maintenance just to make sure the humidifier stays for now you always want to check on your projects to make sure they don’t contaminate but in a Martha it’s more important as you often have more than one substrate in the Martha at a time and you don’t want it to spread however I also did a modded tub system bro I think both grow specs are in my pan Australia thread I also have a thread called modded fruiting chamber’s check them out
