This is my first time playing around with cincts so I'm pretty stoked to see how it turns out. I've never eaten them either
I just lost a pan Hawaii to green :-(
Thought it was from over heating the peat, but when I dumped it outside, I could see green on bottom on substrate, so was either my spawn or over heated poo

I love cincts
My pan jamaica trays I spawned 18 hours ago are already like 10-25% colonized. My average time to get fully colonized trays from spawning is 2-3 days. I hope I get the same results!
Where should I colonize my trays? somewhere with good airflow or not so much like inside an empty tub?
I usually just cover them with foil and poke some holes while they colonize, is that sufficient for pans?

Right on, BL! Excited to see how the cincts develop. They're not enough of 'em around here. I'm curious to hear how they fare trip wise as well.
@Mad Season Yeah, the Jamaicans are wicked fast.

Hey fellow Panaelous Fanatics! Been lurking on these forums forever finally decided to be active. Been growing for 3 years, been working with 80%pans/other exotics. Not a cube kinda guy. Here's what I've been working on lately. Oh an also a big thanks to Fantastic Mr. Fox, you pan grows helped me make pans happen period.
These are a wild strain of Pan Cyan that my fiancé brought a couple prints back of from Ecuador when she went. This is the first MS grow from print off the original limited MS plates that produced the prints that grew these 2nd gens. The mycelium was super fast and very robust/thick for Cyans. It reminded me of the cambo "Goliath" mycelium but the pins aren't nearly as dark as cambos. The myc was almost as thick as cubensis, just softer and smelled a lot better.
They are a very hardy strain of pans, they are the only ones I've ever grown that I can directly mist the whole time through. Also is the make it to casing they always fruit something, no cake has produced less than a dry gram. I left one in a modified mudabottle type set up in the dark in my closet that I forgot about and found a flush of 10 large spore covered and kind of soft mushrooms that dried to 1g. Total neglect.
Anyway here's the pics. Going to be taking prints this time around for saving/trade. I will be doing a big giveaway once I get them flushing semi evenly from multi spore and I have enough posts to get into marketplace. I'm all about spreading prints

Much love my shroomy peeps!

first cinct pins. mainly forming along the edges of the bag so far.

after i cased the other cinct tray i have the other day, i couldn't find the 27 qt tote to put it in anywhere. so i put foil back over it and put it back on my shelf. this morning i found the tote in my back yard, i guess i took it out to rinse it from last time and forgot it went to take foil off tray, and put into tote, and saw weird growth pattern, some kinda mold maybe. i dug it out a little, covered the spot and put it into fruiting anyway…so hoping it pulls thru. not sure why it got mold, because i have about 2 qts of left over of the same peat in a filter bag from when i pasteurized and there is nothing growing in it. the tray took about 2 weeks to colonize, so makes me think it wasn't in the spawn or substrate either, would have shown much earlier. aight, I'm done blabbering.

Nice pins! Cincts have been my kryptonite so far. I can never get any fruits to mature on the same day. Just slowly but surely pushes a couple out over a monthish. All my isolate preform like this, going to try my wild Cinct print found on local soccer fields all over in the summer.
My humidity has been a problem at my new lab space so I've had sidepinning more so now than ever, I've just been removing the subs from the tray and fruiting the side pins while the top ones come it later.
I can wait to see these mature, indoor cincts look awesome to me I've read a lot of your threads blindingleat. Impressive shit. Basically anybody who's on here consistently stepping their game up has been read and studied by me. I love this place and can read it for hours.

Almost exactly 3 days of colonization.

I'd say 2 more days, and it'll be ready to fruit!!
Seems this was a little slower than usual

thanks man, i appreciate it i learned almost everything I know from the good people on here as well.
i need to go back to the print, because my last two plates have stalled for some reason. Im not sure where its from, but it is a wild print I'm working with from user "Dourd3n" (sp?)
i think I'm actually going to do a liquid culture with these guys once i clean up the germination plate

Hey guys so I made an lc from a wedge of agar from a clean plate. I worked in a sterile air box so I was pretty sure it was clean up until today. I havent seen this before in an lc, so if anyone has any experience let me know. It looks like pan cyan floating on top but just tryma be sure.
The lcs about 11 days old now, hasnt been shaken since night before last. I shook it after this picture, gonna make some test cakes tonight

Thanks! There's a whole new set of little pins coming in about as many as are already there. I'll be harvesting and prints over a few day span it looks like.

Since I live in the city I don't have good access to manure and would like to avoid using it. What would Pan Cyans and Pan Cambo Goliaths grow best on instead. I was thinking of just using 1/2 quart pp5's to start and hoping to use agar inoculation, but I could attempt LC if it is preferable. Really interested in getting some fruit sooner rather than have separate bulk spawning and such, but in the future would be ok using it. Can anyone point me in the right direction for not using manure?

Coir/verm/and straw would work pretty well. Make sure you pasteurize properly. Straw can be a huge vector for contams if sterilized.
Don't work with LC's just yet. They have a bad rep for contaminating easily. Making a LI would be a lot easier and growth rates would be really fast!

Hey guys about 8 days ago I started working on my first pan grow. I inoculated pasty plates with pan tropicalis and pan cyanescens Syringes. I haven't seen any growth on them yet, so I was just curious if they are tricky to germinate on Agar or what?

They will germinate just fine using the standard pasty plate recipe. How long has it been and how did you inoculate your plates?

It has been 8 days. I inoculated by dropping a few drops of a Spore syringe into the Agar dish. Also I didn't use the standard recipe, I used 25 ml of water, 1 gram mault extract Agar, and 0.25 grams of powdered manure
