Yep, thanks a lot for the prints my dude. I hope I can get them to mature and make new gen of spores. It will be uncertain until the caps are large enough to print properly.

Please, let the experts come in and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

Mind Blown.  I looked at quite a view pics and you are correct!  I don´t know whether to laugh or cry. This is a good problem to have though.  I learned to grow something other than cubes but I was convinced these were Pan Cy.  Trying to figure out where the mistake was made and I must have grabbed the wrong jar of LC and injected a bag and then labeled it Pan Cy.  I went ahead and few it once, and then cloned it, and grew these.  This also explains a LOT.  I was thinking as I crumbled into the tray...I don´t remember pouting Brazil nuts in my sub!  There were large hard things in the  sub that were way bigger than anything I put in it!  I probably threw some of them out too. Lol.  And lookin at pics of sclerotia forming in jars...yup! Got those too!  The potency was also quite strong!  I ate1.3g and spent 4 hours in a hot tub and thought I was communicating with whales and their ancient dinosaur ancestors.  It was amazing.  They caused my eyes to dialate more than any other substance I´ve ever had.

So I will take the rest of this discussion the other forum. As I now have a zillion questions for how to deal with what I have!

The bad part is that I am have gotten exactly 0 Panaeolus fruit and I it turns out they are harder than I thought.  My Pan Cambo tray looks amazing from the underside though!  The Aussies are in opaque trays and I can not see any myc in the casing yet and its been almost a couple weeks I think.  Crossing my fingers.

Good eye Ricky.

I'm glad you aren't too heartbroken about it.  Its funny how it all makes sense after the fact.  The Brazil nuts had me cracking up.

There are worse case scenarios. I love the tamp fruits.  Best Ive ever felt on shrooms.

In what way do they feel different than pans Ricky? I'm curious.

Also what amount of pan cambo would be good for a fun chill time camping with friends? I don't want to get too weird.

Alright, finally got my Caerulescens to fruit and have 4 Pans on deck.

Have a myco bag of Pan Cam Sandose coming along nicely.  Another MB inoculated with Bisporus from @MaryFairchild, made an LC of @Asuras Pan Aussies and have more cultures going on agar.  Last but not least I have a 1 lb bag of oats and several plates of Hawaii Big Island on agar.

Know what mistakes were made on my last tray and have already started fixing them starting with my spawn:sub ratio.  Did 1:1 the last time, gonna go with 1:2 this go around.

Did I mention I got my Caerulescens to fruit?!:-) lol

They’re just starting but man is it good to see them pin.  Also having started from a wild print I took feels very rewarding.

@JOC you’re killing it as usual!

Tales from the Martha.  (Sry for x post but I feel it’s imp)

So some have said that Martha tents are not ideal because if one tray contaminates they all do..... and this is true if you don’t play close attention and know what to look for. @ first chance this pan cam tray looks good. Decent pinset coming up surface looks healthy. But wait why did the myc colonize the casing in only that one small patch? If you look in at the sub thru the side of the tray often Rhône’s you will see the contam before it hits the surface of you tray and can sporulate. I love Martha tents but you must be vigilant and not think twice about scrapping a tray. Trays die. Don’t try and save the sick ones execute and make more. Do not get attached to trays!!!

Meanwhile on another shelf  (pan hausteca)

Im getting ready for substrate stage.  Question, is coir a good substitute for hpoo?  or would i get essentially the same results as hpoo if i mixed coir and composted cow manure?

So I have a tray of Pan Cambo Sandose that looks good so far.  I can not see any contam through the bottom or sides of the glass tray and its nice and white and colonized now.  It has started to pull away from the sides though which means its drying out, right?

Should I just mist it frequently at this point and hope it absorbs enough water through the casing?

Should I inject water into the sub with a syringe?

I really need a Pan success story!

Lol I sure hope not haha but I’m not seeing any yet but then again they are only 3 days old.  I just got a tray of spore less Australians but that didn’t really bother me because I have an entire book of Australian prints lol.  I need to stockpile  Hausteca prints now so sporeless is not welcome atm lol. But yes I love how a tray of these look so clean I love the color and the shape. I’m also pretty sure that mystery pan I have is tropicalis

For anyone wanting to get into pans without a martha I'm having some success with black kow as a sub in dubtub shoeboxes. Nothing like jakes yield but it works. My best pinset and yield so far has been 1:1 with a BK top layer then cased with jiffy mix.

grimsweeper, you cut that black kow with anything like coir, verm, straw or nothing at all? also, pasteurized of course? last, what's your grain?

related-ish, something jake said a minute ago has me wondering about using dried out grass clippings. was thinking black kow and grass clippings is easier for me to get than manure and straw. and clippings are pre-choppped!
