Yeah the pans will do it but like I said they  do contam more.
A perfect example of this is I ran two different oat & millet grain runs about a week apart.
I inoculated 5 zaptecorum all failed
The second run 5 more all failed
Ran rye and Millet about a week ago put down 8 zap bags every one is doing fantastic. I could make all kinds of speculations as to why this is but honestly I don’t know and for real I don’t need to know I just switch grain  all three runs are used the same small unicorn Spohn bags. Also all my dishes were cut from the same master plate and they were all clean all the way out

Yeah my gut feeling is that it's probably the Oats that are more problematic than the Pans are weak at defending.

I'll be putting pans on rye this weekend btw

Right on man good luck!

Yeah even from the same company two bags will be completely different the first couple bags I got weren’t bad but the last few no matter how much I rinsed my water was so cloudy and after cooking my jars you could see the oats were all Grady and they left this grime on the side of the jars

That's what I thought u were gonna try to do man. That would be cool.

On that note, could pans be crossed with say, psilocybes in this manner? Or only other pans?

Good to know, I was just curious. I figured it was impossible. But with what rr said, pans can be crossed with pans and psilocybes can be crossed with psilocybes? Azures and cubes could potentially be crossed with the right tools, knowledge and dedication?

No

My holy grail is to try and cross pan cyan with pan cam I’m not sure it’s possible but I think it might be

If 2 pans can be crossed why wouldn't 2 psilocybes? Honestly asking.

Didn't rr say in that thread rattlesnake venom can be possibly used for inter species crossing? That's why I got that notion.

Well that’s kind of my theory with the  Pan cyan pan cam cross.  Technically they are two different species however they are so similar I think you could force a cross however azzz and cubes are much more different from each other.
