Ceremony was very cool, with a group of local people mixed with visitors. It was for cleansing of the body and mind with a lot of music. The dosage was light, not really meant to launch you out there. There was a lot of respect given to the mushroom and its power and use. Definitely thought of as a spiritual and introspective tool and not recreation.
Always find myself down in Latin America. Would love to bring back some prints of these uncultivated actives.
btw, this is on topic.

I actually have more problems with oats than anything else gourmets do OK on oat and millet, But I did notice my contamination rate increase I’ve now switched back to Rye and mail it so I don’t have to pay for the Street Rye and it is much better I know some people love oats and I use them for a few months but for the exotic strains in my experience they are more likely to contaminate than other grains however I did have great success with them I just tossed lots of jars

if your going to run str8 oats I recommend u at least get steamed crimped oats. oats can be fine but then you will get a bag of dirty oats and they will piss you off. millet is not much more expensive so ive been cutting only 25% rye berries in to 75% millet. so far everything loves it. I have 0 contams so far my last few runs on oats I lost about 30% sometimes more

Yeah give it a shot man like I said it’s definitely doable and I’ve had success with it I just didn’t like my contamination rate and Changing migraine seems to have fixed it so the extra 26 dollars Is worth it

Idk how 'exotic' cultures would cause Oats to contaminate more than unexotic ones but I know how growers mess up during the sterile procedures and end up with contamination

Well pans are probably more susceptible to bacteria than oysters. Just a guess. But he grows alot of different shit so who knows.

So the Pan cultures used for inoculation are not clean? Or what is the implication here I'm not sure I follow?
I can understand that not all cultures are equally equipped to fight off contams, but how does that explain that for example an oat jar or Pan Cyan goes green? Where did the green come from and how is it connected to Pan Cyan? I'm just trying to make sense of this.

Pans can be quite delicate. I think a lot of cube grows here have some kind of contamination issue...it's just that cube myc will overrun a lot of the baddies most of the time. Pan myc is not so hardy. At least in experience.

Yeah the pans will do it but like I said they do contam more. A perfect example of this is I ran two different oat & millet grain runs about a week apart. I inoculated 5 zaptecorum all failed The second run 5 more all failed Ran rye and Millet about a week ago put down 8 zap bags every one is doing fantastic. I could make all kinds of speculations as to why this is but honestly I don’t know and for real I don’t need to know I just switch grain all three runs are used the same small unicorn Spohn bags. Also all my dishes were cut from the same master plate and they were all clean all the way out

Aah I see the point now, thanks! My rye test/control jars never mold out on their own if unopened so if I get issues with Pan cultures contaminating on my rye Ill be forced to believe that it's my sterile procedure that's faulty. But yeah I have been hearing horror stories about Oats for a long time now. I simply can not find even one seller in my country that sells Oats and I'm not even kidding. They have everything for sale except whole Oats. Always wanted to try, I think myc colonizing Oats is so purdy..

Yeah my gut feeling is that it's probably the Oats that are more problematic than the Pans are weak at defending.
I'll be putting pans on rye this weekend btw
