Rabbit poo is about 4 times "hotter" than hpoo. I'm not sure how it would work. It might be ok. I think you have just volunteered to test for us
I have a local source for bat guano and I've been told that is way too high in nitrogen for mycelium. But again, I've never tested it.

Ha. I'll fuck with it. Could probably affect the N content a little with adjusting diet and aging the pellets. I used to make compost mixes before I switched to cvg for cubes. I would add all kinds of garden amendments in small amounts to cpoo and straw and let it breakdown for a month or two before pasteurizing for use. Some mixed results, but mostly positive.
Just got back into messing with pans again. I had a few P.Cambo Goliath shoeboxes I was kind of excited about, but they all got some green spots just before full colonization.
Pans are awesome, I love how this thread has evolved!

Hey guys love this thread I got a lot of catching up to do.
Quick question. How many grams of pan cambo is equivalent to 1/8 or 1 oz of cubensis? Dry.
Thanks.

In my personal experience, a dry gram of pan cambo is roughly equivalent to about an eighth or so of average strength cubes. The trip is different from cubes though, more clean and energetic feeling. The one gram range was awesome for me and my girlfriend too.
I ate 2.5g dry once, and honestly it was rough for a bit...definitely caught me off guard a little. Strangely DMT like in feel, and my body was doing this thing where it felt like it was pulsing. My whole body would slowly tense up and all my muscles would flex and then slowly relax again.

Okay thanks, I appreciate it. I've eaten more pans than cubes funny enough so I don't have cubes to base other species against. I need to grow more cubes this summer. 2.5 grams must have been crazy. 1.2 of pan cambo was plenty strong for me. Was a lot of fun though. The visuals were very distinct patterns for me. The cubensis were more abstract visuals and more in my head.
Thanks again. Can't wait to catch up on this thread tomorrow and see what everyone's been up to.

Sunday check-in.
Nothing much to report. I've got a tray of pan-HI that's been coloning a straw-poo-verm sub for about 10 days and I don't have a lot of hope for it. I made two and one turned green already. on the dehydrated poo pellets.
I've got another tray of pan-HI that was from a leftover jar that I spawned to CVG just to see what would happen. Its tearing it up so we'll see what happens with a poo-less sub when I go to case it.
Finally, I've got a second transfer from a pan-HI plate that has a nice symmetric growth which I'm planning on using to inoculate a GWLC jar today. Hoping to use that when I get some new poo. I'm trying the stuff from shroom supply this time - hoping for better results.

I'm attempting to grow from a filthy, wild print i took of what i believe to be a pan species. Found on cow manure, bruised very dark blue and had black spores.
Any of these transfers look like potential pan mycelium? Two on left are growing a bit whispy, the one on right looks promising, but i'm not familiar with pan growth patterns.

How fast should I expect pan cyan aussie culture to colonize agar? I made a transfer (from a refrigerated culture) 6 days ago, and it's colonized only about 15% of the plate. It took a while to recover from the refrigeration though I think. I transferred some cubensis KSS at the same time and they have colonized almost 100% of the plate. Just wondering if there might be some invisible bacteria in the culture, slowing it down
Light Malt Extract & Agar Room temperature: 73–79F

And here's the third flush from my aussie shoeboxes I'm not getting any prints out of these, they are so small

That's why it must be aged, never fresh, if it smells anything like poo, urine or ammonia, it's not ready. Rabbit poo is something I haven't tried but I bet it's kick ass, it works good for weed

Good to know, thank you! I'll try making a transfer from the edge of the culture and see if the next plate runs faster

Yeah could just be because it was In The fridge. But you can have fruits from LC/live wedge in 28 days with pans. 35-40 days from spore

Great box Nut. I'm shooting for something like that very soon. Learn anything valuable you'd like to share about doing them in a shoebox?
