^^lovely Jake!
Here's an update on my pan cyan aussie dubtubs.
I've got 4 holes in the top tub, with micropore tape over the holes – two layers on the side holes, one layer on the end holes. Some gaffer tape to secure the upper tub.
Gave the casing a thorough misting before putting the upper tubs on. I'm a little worried I've got too many holes for such small tubs (6qt tubs), but I'll keep an eye on it and I can always put gaffer over some of the holes if it seems to be drying out too quickly
Endeavoring to maintain room temp of 75F
feedback welcome!
24 hours after casing, I have myc starting to poke through:

Lol, I just put two screws into the wall, and the lamp has this kind of clamp, which I secured over the two screws ... very basic haha

I’m interested to see how this goes. I have some pans on agar and was thinking about trying a shoebox and a mini mono

24 hours after casing, I have myc starting to poke through:

Ive never done them (or anything for that matter in a dub tub) but with pans my concern would be that you have no holes directly above the substrate. co2 being heaviest will get trapped below your holes and any fresh o2 would just sit on top never reaching the sub. I would give the co2 an escape route. Also since you don’t have a system for the replacement of your evaporated moisture be sure to check it several times a day and rehydrate after pins use a hypodermic needle to ensure you don’t get them wet. Also do you have a fan in that room in my experience just having filtered holes and relying on the Thermo dynamics of the tub design Does not give you enough fresh air to achieve their evaporation you want I have never attempted a grow in a dub dub though but that was my issue with the mono. But having a fan in the room keeping all that air circulating well definitely makes a difference. Ime the aussies do better around 82-85 F But that can get expensive lol hope this helps keep us posted, I know sum 1 else who is dead set in fruiting pans in a dub tub. They have failed for about 8 months now (over drying mostly) his last attempt he loaded perlite into a large dub tub and loaded with trays. His sub is still drying out. But I also know it has been done (maybe those ppl lived in a humid region or something.

Well I'm just saying it may be easier in summer. I've been having nothing but problems all winter and I think it has to do with the dry winter air.

It’s just a different set of problems true your air is not as dry however contamination and gnats come into play. I definitely prefer winter time for growing.

Maybe nothing - but myself and others have experienced problems with uneven pinning (with cubes) and drying out the corners of the tub when placing that exact lamp right on the center of the cover. The mod suggested we move the light a few feet away to avoid issues.
I'm actually making my own flat-lights now from LED strips. It allows me to config the light to the dimensions of the tub and stack the tubs on top of each other with the light sandwiched in-between. The LEDs stay nice and cool as well. Probably not as useful for pans tho.

I've always wanted to try one those deals you see in flower pots that waters the substrate as needed. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
