hazelnut said: These images show 4 pan cyan aussie jars (WBS) 17 days after Blenderless LI inoculation. They took 14 days to reach 99%, with a shake half way – I'm a bit worried about how long it too to colonize.
Anyhow, how do these look?
Some look more white and fluffy than others (They were all inoculated from the same LI culture)
planning to put each jar into its own shoebox, in case some have more bacteria than others

Look good what temp u incubating? Also that’s not bad for LI as it still has to germ as li is just spore In water. Now if u had used grain a wedge or LC I would say something is off but 7 to germ 7 to fully colonize is about right
Thanks for the reply! Incubating at 70–77F Actually, I made the LI using a Pasty Plate agar puk. Two agar transfers, then dropped the agar into a jar of sterilized water, shook to break up agar, then poured the LI into the grain jars (as per Blenderless Liquid Inoculate Tek).
So I was expecting it to reach 100% in 7 days
It took slower than expected for LI. Maybe the agar culture dried out a bit before I used it – the agar was fully colonized for at least a week. Or maybe it could have some invisible bacteria in it ..?
FYI this is a photo of one of the jars at 9 days after inoculation – so there were not as many inoculation points as I was expecting for a liquid inoculation:

sup my fellow cope heads?
so I got my fan in and once again modded my system I built it just like I said I would so now I have constant oxygen enriched pre-hydrated FAE blowing gently yet constantly across my sub. this will help balance out the inconsistences caused by the fogger kicking on and off on a timer. I don't want to jinx it but I think im about at a point that im happy with this set up. later tonight I will start my cold weather wood lovers (azzy and subG) so be sure to check out the official wood lovers thread for that also be sure to subscribe to my you tube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_OdGX5v6KSTATZAzkEE41g

I also introduced a fan to my grow cupboard recently and so far, no contams touch wood. I think the extra air flow makes all the difference, even though mine is more open air than the above.

Right on. Just noticed your YouTube channel link and checked out your video on casing. I am definitely using too much.
Just finished removing about 100g of wet casing and spread the rest out so there’s only a thin layer left. Used some utensils from a lab set to carefully break up the casing and scoop it out. Hopefully I didn’t just fuck myself, but if so I know what to do next time...

So here is my Aussie tray after removing a lot of the casing yesterday. Already showing more signs of growth. Is it heading in the right direction though?

That one right there is 50/50 coir and store bough manure. Bovung brand. I think it's Scott's. And the casing is pasteurized cactus soil.

Basically straight from the bag. It was frozen solid from being in my cold garage so I put it in with the coir and bucket teked it .
And with the cactus soil I would suggest sifting the sticks out. I skipped that and have a bunch of twigs in my casing. They don't seem to mind, but who wants sticks in their casing.

I'm surprised too, the cactus soil casing has been sitting there for 2 weeks basically soaking wet, and no mold or bacteria smell at all. It seems these like mistings way more than cubes. I listed the hell outta this tray for the last week and it just soaks it right up by the next day.
