I should have researched more but this is how I learn best 😝

My pans are on agar right now so I’m not too deep in.  I’d rather try something else for now instead of modifying another place in my house.  I’ll probably keep growing them out for experience and save them until I figure out a better set up.

Do you prefer one over the other of those options?  I’m just going to go on and order new some prints.

Thanks so much for your help and saving me time and energy!

You've got the right attitude, man...the part about you keeping growing them out. It takes practice and even
then you won't get bad ass canopies every time. Just keep practicing.

Thanks Asura! My agar is looking good to keep transferring and I have some Galindoi I can try to spawn while I wait for whatever new print I’m going to try, get my GH set up and some practice in

Taking suggestions on what else to grow in a bit colder temp!

WL’s like low temps but they are very hard indoors, I’m gonna run lib caps at lower temps, but they are harder than pans, cubes would grow fine for but u been growing those already right? If you haven’t already you could try the penis envy albino penis envy strains they are slightly more potent and a little harder to grow because how slow moving they are

It might not be true, I set that grow up as an experiment to compare a no consolidation time to a ~15day consolidation- but I had no room in the GH so the no consolidation condition went to the SGFC where I let it dry out- so I dont know if it would have worked anyway.

Would it be beneficial to use spent substrates from cubes or oysters for bisp. or cinc.?

Looks really good but not complete coverage yet, i'd wait till its uniform across the top, then case & go to fruiting.

Will do.  Definitely being more patient this time around.

Have this jar of Bisporus from the print you sent me on deck!

I doubt anyone has done that before- typically richer subs are used to get better production than what you'd get from a wild grow.

It might be worth trying a poo based spent sub for cincts. since its commonly found in the wild but is harder to cultivate indoors using rich substrates.

ok im done for the night. I moved one tent downstairs which i will set up for cool weather gourmets and maybe a WL tray. ill set that up tomorrow. I cleaned the other tent moved the exhaust fan to the bottom and insulated in case it gets a little wet. moved HEPA filter to top. i then lined in LED strip lights that can be set to 3 different spectrums, and am gonna see how different species (a few pan and a few gourmet trays) do with exposure to different spectrums at different stages of life cycle.  i also got rid of the fucking polyfill! lol its terrible with the tamps it gets impossibly tangled and a lesser, (but still annoying) problem with pans.

I would definitely give that a go. I think I'd pasteurize the depleted subs first.

Lots of work, looks pretty cool!  I especially love the wall art in the second pic 💗
Why do you have a heap filter in it?  I’m just starting to learn about these different set ups.

lol thanks that's my sons handy work this was a storage room when we first moved in and my son drew all over walls with sharpe. got em around my house too..... love it lol

i put the filter in so that the air im sucking in dosnt have a bunch of particles and potential contams in it. i got a filter on the exaust so i dont blow my spore load all over the room (giggidy)  then tents are awesome! but you must dial them in properly or they are just a waste of apace.
i

Are contams much of an issue once you’ve spawned or are you just taking extra precautions?

I’ve failed with cyan and bisporus doin sterilized sub both broken up into trays and fruited from the container like pancakes. Was surely user error regarding one or more of a few different things like too much grain in the mix, too moist, or bad growing conditions though.

Last year I used the same bisporus culture for sterilized sub and grains, the broken up sub didn’t fruit, the straight cased ziploc pints didnt fruit, but the grain spawned to pasteurized sub did.

That’s just my experience though, the best flushes that I’ve seen on here are from Mary, Asura, and BlueHelix and they all seem to do the sterilized sub method along with greenhouses.

I did a "Spawn to Bulk" grow of bisporus ~the holidays:

So thats typically done with agar wedge ->grain->pasteurized substrate- thing is I think bis is a tertiary decomposer- boils down to- give it a long consolidation period- I'm getting ready to put this in the grow logs if I can ever get to it, more details in advance if you'd like.

Nice flush Mary! That’s an interesting idea about them being tertiary decomposers. I’ll check my pictures to verify the exact timeframe, but I know it took them a long time to fruit after spawning last year. I chalked it up to low temps but it would make sense if they just needed that longer consolidation. Also I’m runnin some bi spawn right now and it’s been much slower than the cyan was.

well often tomes casing layers are not fully colonized and and mold could take hold, plus I have is designed to pull the moisture down into my subs so I just want the air filtered. I suppose I could of usdd the same filters I put on the tubs but I got these for a good price and I am gonna have master mix gourmet blocks in there so I will need lots of air flow so I figured I might as well

Jake, that's sic looking. Nice work.

Also, I took a look at my Pan Trop/Cyan plates last night and said "Fuck it!" I put them on cardboard, on a plate, on the seed pads. Between the mild heat from the overhead lights, the moderate heat from the pads, and relatively closeness to a radiator... I'm hoping for some lift off. If not... guess it doesn't matter.

My Bisporus is growing fast on Agar, but seems to have stalled on grain. Like a rapid leapoff a couple millimeters, then it stopped. I shook it 2 days ago and the recovery is pathetic. What to do?
