your setup is what made me want to use a humidifier jake. I dont think i have enough colonized grain to make a tub. I definitely want to create a setup similar to yours.

Yes. I can make about 10. Just ration out how much u put in each receiving jar to make sure u make it to all 10. It doesn't take much.

And u could do a small tray of some sort with the other one with 2-3 quarts of substrate. Viola

ALWAYS make more grain

And that's just what I do when I don't have anything ready on agar, but have an extra jar. I'd much rather sacrifice 1 temporarily to have 10 in its place.

I have been attempting to get a good agar plate from a vendor pan cyanescens syringe. The most I have gotten was a super wispy something... I would transfer it and loose it against the color of my pasty plate. Gave up and got a new syringe on the way. In the mean time I put two of the plates on grains because I had the jar already made.

Is this a total loss?

Pan bisporus, spawned 1:2 with 50/50 manure compost/coir to a 13x9 aluminum pan at about 1.5" depth. Gonna case it with pasteurized cactus soil once it's colonized and hope for the best

Have you guys ever seen this with spawn that's been in the jar a while? The spawn itself has shrunk a bit and is sitting in a bit of clear water. I've had a sniff and it does not smell of anything, let alone bacteria. It's Pan Trop.

That’s a lot of water in the bottom.  If that was cubes I wouldn’t use it.  I know next to nothing about pans though so is that really ok?
