To me, the trip is on a whole other level. You can't put this stuff into words. I cranberry tek 2g and within 20 minutes all of reality melts away and I am completely immersed into....some weird shit. It's kind of like being in a dream, but you're awake. And you can't get out of it by closing your eyes. Because it doesn't matter whether your eyes are open or closed...you are in the same place. So it can be scary.

Any negativity for me is at the beginning. I find pans immensely scary (I lemon tek or cranberry tek though).
My last two trips are what I describe as breakthrough experiences. Infinite consciousness, God Mind, Universal Mind...whatever term you like. I experienced it. Followed by infinite love and acceptance and understanding of my place in the entire universe. This was after living "infinite lives" in different time lines.
I don't know how this stuff works. My trips just keep getting more bizarre as I go...so maybe it's the pans They are very strong. My first pan trip was in 2011 and I went straight to hell and was trapped there for 6 hours. Would never give a noob this stuff. Ever.

Good plan. Maybe 1g would be a really good trip, too. I've never had a less than "heroic dose" with pans. I use pans just for those. And save the cubes for the lighter times.

shit man, they look great. i'm trying to wrap my mind around this overlay thing. i see it suggested to pluck from the slowest, weakest looking fluff, thinking the more vigorous looking the more it would tend to overlay. or something. buy my opinion aint worth much. my plates above looks perfectly transparent compared to yours. no idea.

I am a noob, and this is my first time doing pans, but your plates look nice to me. Especially the third one. I am starting with pan jams (and first grow galindoi at the same time) and am surprised at how fluffy that myc is compared to the gal. I just did my first T1’s, so far so good!
@Nimph, I too am nervous of what to do if/when I grow some out 😂. Think I better have a trip guide or like you, just do .5

How long are you doing the bag for? I like 3-4 hours so I like a lot of water in the PC. I will put 2 layers of jar lids on the bottom of the PC and then put the canning rack on top of that. Then I fill the PC so that the water comes just to the top of the canning rack. It's probably overkill but it makes me feel safe.

Im just worried i may say some inner thoughts or tid bits that could be interpreted in a bad way, thinking i said an inner thought then go all quiet an shit or thinking other people near me can read my mind
Or go outside nude, ive done that when ive been really fucked several times not just with shrooms(over years just for the record).
Thats my 2 main concerns when it comes to tripping besides a bad trip/puking/sending a dirty txt to the wrong person.
I like crazy stuff though as long as it doesnt have a big body load an overheats me.
More water is better than less cause nobody wants a scorched pc!

Yeah, I’m following the method @MaryFairchild used on her Aussie grow except I had to substitute WBS in place of millet. Don’t have any atm but I’ll be getting some.
In the link you sent me, do you only need to do the tyvek in the bag if it’s not heat sealed? I have a fresh saver and unless I cut the bag open I can’t add tyvek.

Asura your pans and trip reports are so awesome man awsome work
I sadly lost a grow to trich recently - had Hawaiians, goliaths and jams all going. I believe the error was my LC. I used unfiltered grain soak water. I think the sediment needed longer than the 20mins in the PC I gave it. All cultures looked clean on agar but then the grains ended up smelling like wet dust.
I’ve got pan. tropicalis colonizing well on grains now. I think i’m back on track. I’ll give all those other cultures another try again over the Christmas break too. The beauty of pans is that a few quarts of spawn provides enough shrooms for many trips.
Still tripping hard on the aussies from my last grow. These 1g+ trip reports sound terrifying but I’ll go there eventually. 0.75g gives me pure bliss and relaxation - very productive and revitalizing times, tucked away somewhere in the forest under a tree with the sun in my face. The visuals are incredible, a lot like DMT but with softer and rounder edges, while the pans are so relaxing and slightly sedating that even at the peak I often feel like I’m on the cusp of drifting off to sleep.

Just like to comment on what i've experienced with grow bags. I have been mostly using the ones that have a 0.5um filter patch and the round rubber- like injection port.
I have been regularly sealing these bags BEFORE putting them in the pressure cooker rather than after, i've had no problems with bursting bags. Its certainly easier to seal the bag before sterilizing it than after.
I always fold the bag along the pleat line from the bottom (where the substrate is) to the top, squeezing the air out along the way; then just make sure the open top end doesn't have any wrinkles in it before sealing it with an impulse sealer. I always seal it twice.
When I put it in the PC I loosely fold the top down but NOT fold it under the substrate cake. The filter patch should not be facing up but should be facing sideways. Thats to reduce the amount of water that may drip on to it from condensation on the lid. The patch WILL get a bit wet but it will dry out after the PC cycle is done. Best to let the PC cool down some (at least 4hr) after the cycle is done before opening it.
Also WBS is at least as good as millet, I just dont like too many sunflower seeds.

Brain Bulb said: I may have bitten off more than I can chew. This makes the 4th species of Pan I have going right now: Bisporus, Cyan Australia, Tropicalis and Cyan Alabama. All at different stages. As well as PS. Caerulescens, Ps. Cyanescens, PS. Zapotecorum and about a half dozen cubes species. 😬
Will you pm me some pictures of the p. caerulescens and p. cyanescens. I would like to know what you are using for substrate and whether it's an indoor or an outdoor grow.
