I have an articulated skeleton of a dog and cat. Not mine, but they are awesome. I have always joked that when my dog goes, I'll stuff her and put her on the bed because I don't let pets on my bed now but after death... She earned it.

One company's tagline, "We at Peaceful Pets Aquamation do not want to leave our pets’ memories at the end of a smokestack."
They are just using alkaline hydrolysis which essentially uses a very high pH to dissolve all the tissues over a short period of time. The bones are then crushed manually then returned to the owners.
Shit...I'm with that, but give me the bones while...it'd be dope to have a skeleton of your pet
agreed. everything about aquamation sounds awesome. I personally think that getting dissolved in alkaline water is a lot less gross than being slowly eaten by maggots/bacteria like my poor kitty is as we speak
My high school used to clean up dead animal skeletons and put the bones together in cool poses. I don't know if I'd actually do this with my cats bones....but you never know
even if its a marketing scheme, it really does sound better than cremation

if i were rich id rather throw them and all their favorite toys in the creamator, have it burnt and the ashes pressed into a gemstone that id keep. that way all the memories of them, their toys, they're happiness, can be contained in something beautiful, just like their soul. and itd make me smile everytime i saw it...

oooh yeah, I forget that that's a thing...not as green but definitely cooler. I think a fungal death suit is my official choice for my own body though. Saw it in a ted talk.
Oops, didn't realize this was this thread. I suppose a couple off topic posts don't matter when a thread is this long.

I certainly am amazed! How did it fruit. Why did you keep the foil on? Is that cake 100% colonized?
Wth is going on in tht jar?!

This jar fully colonized 2 days ago, I'm waiting for two more jars to make a mini tub. Temp is 27°. I guess perlite allows air within the substrate (??)

Your right! The perlite is quite porous, the water in those pores must have evaporated/dissipated into the atmosphere of the jar. Promoting early fruiting. (in vitro)
Then again, tht jar doesn't look the healthiest.. Early pinning could also be a sign of contamination.

Don't add perlite to your sub mix, use vermiculite instead.

Sometimes they just want to fruit. It happens on agar without any FAE.
 Pan trops on PDA.
