I've got this once. Case them again with CVG, then extremely fan them, I used a lil PC vent to do this for me

I'd like to say that the mycelium needs to stay undergroud, so a little lower RH is also apprechiated.
After pins formed keep them in 20-24 C then not mist them, maybe just the wall of the tub as said before by others
Or mist but fan them drip free.

This is a little bad project and not the best pic, but you can see, not much mycelium on the top of the casing. (click)

I "like" to grow them in 5 l canning bottles with a triangle shaped coffe filter on the top, and they don't need anything, Just mix, and case and let them fruit.

M

Seems like this worked for reference. I've got clusters coming up in several places. Seems like I'll have enough for a good Friday evening trip.

Good job man! First pan pins are hard earned IMO.

Thank you kindly. Sure are, you may have noticed I've been trying for months and have got through almost a whole bag of manure. On reflection a lot of time might have been wasted on bad genetics from the first syringe I got so maybe not all my fault.
Feels like the dawn of a new era as I love these mushrooms (and I need a break from PE). Thank you all so much for your grow logs and tips along the way.

Hi, cinctulus from what I experimented they are fast colonizer & kind of résistant to contam, myc form really little grey blue sclerotia, but they are not easy to fruit well and finally my indoor specimens were thinner than wild ones..

Mullugh have a nice Friday!

I Guarantee it's in the prep. How sure are you its bacteria and not excess moisture? Dry it a bit more next time. Did you Shake your grain?

I think so because a few days after PC grains look very even, also growing temps are super slow which is a common problem indication, especially with pans.
My little petri dishes colonized completely for less than a week each time, but with all jars I have problems almost immediately.
I really can't grasp what's going wrong.

suppose you agree that it's not about excess moisture.

hi, after two shakings one jar successfully finished. Particularly I don't like when colonization don't run in groove, but it looks healthy.
I'm afraid to spawn it to manure, best way to additionally test things is to g2g. Yep?

I found an old pan cyn print from august '14, and on 11/25 I used an inoculation loop to swipe the spores onto a pastyplate©.

Today I made a couple transfers to new agar dishes.

This is what the donor dish looked like. So does that look good, or did I just transfer mold? It smelt mushroomy so I'm hopeful.

I'm pretty sure I told you it was cactus compost/verm casing layer actually my friend. I think it's bovine manure, it's bagged from a garden center.

I have a portable radiator in the cupboard underneath my shelves. Not cheap I can tell you.

Significant increase in mould loss in the winter I've noticed too.

I'll post one tonight, got lots of clusters, but possible mould patch...might be a race against time. Even if it is mould, ill still class this as a win and I should get a good flush

Hey guys!  Think I should go ahead and add my casing or give the tray some more time?  Things are moving much faster since I paired an ultrasonic humidifier with my wicking humidifier.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

BB
