All of my grows so far (pan and otherwise) have used black kow. I use 1:1:1 coir, coarse verm, black kow with ~7% gypsum as my bulk. Pasteurized in the oven at 150 for 2 hours. Don’t let it sit more than a week before spawn.

Cool, that's good to know. I just used 1:1:.5 black kow/verm/straw. Got pins but everything aborted and I could not pull a second flush.
I usually let everything colonize for 4-5 days after spawn, then I case and fruit.
When everything is right, I usually have pins 4-5 days after that.

I have not fruited bisporus but I did transfers on 10/28. Those plates are just the size of a quarter. Seems like it grows slow as hell. At least mine does. My tropicalis is kind of slow, too. The cyans burns through agar like wildfire, though.

My pan bi's rip through an entire 100mm plate of normal strength PDA in < 5 days with a wispy gray mycelium - slow growth sounds unusual.

My bisporus ain't doing shit. It's been the size of a quarter on my plates for weeks.
I'm not sure I care. I have these sweet pan aussies and it is SOOOO good. If you like level 5 trips from 2g. I have some tropicalis plates, too, but I might throw it in the fridge.
These aussies are insane. I'm thinking I will learn how to grow these and put everything else on the back burner.

I’ve grown all three varieties Hawaiian Jamaican and Australian pans and they are extremely potent I almost pass out on 1g I can’t even imagine taking 2g

You have try this. It is very, very scary. But only at the beginning. And when you break through, it is wonderful. Pans are a unique kind of magic. Very different from cubes.

You know in a way I feel I am breaking out because at the hight of the trip I’ve basically curled up in bed, blacked out totally forget my body and all my surroundings after about half an hour Of that , I’m in bed tripping in in a normal state and can get up and do stuff
ALL THAT FROM 1gram...lol

"Normal tripping state"....that's what I call it, too! That's so funny. There's the crazy pan cyans tripping at the beginning....then after it's "normal tripping".
Anyway y'all, here's 4th flush of my pan aussies

I've never had a 4th flush of anything. What I like about pans is the flushes come in really fast, like 12 hours to a day.

I've got some Pan Jamaican spores growing out on Malt Extract Agar right now. I had 6 different ones colonize so far. My grow room stays 70-75 degrees for my cubes. Is that adequate temp for the Pans or do I need to figure out a way of increasing the temp to around 80? They're growing at a decent speed. About 6 days after colonization, the biggest one is about the size of a dime. Would it be going faster if the temp was higher?

70-75 degrees is fine for pans

I run it a little hotter, 74-78. I wouldn't go as low as 70. In fact I bought a heater in the middle of the Texas summer (which is hot AF) because in the early morning hours the temp in my grow room would drop to 70. And it was actually pretty cold.
My first few trays had few fruits and a lot of aborts. Upping the temps helped a lot.

5th flush of my Pan Aussies. This is the end of this tray.

Just going to guestimate that I will have pulled 18g total from this tray.
Here's 12g dry from the same tray (my best friend and I each did 2g from this batch)
