I want opinions on whether to case now or later and was considering vermiculite and a little sand mixed in.

I had good results with a ¼-½ inch casing of semi-pasturized coco coir (via Bod's Bucket Tek). less drying out due to my climate, better canopy and easy harvest since the surface is nearly flat, and no trich (not even a tiny bit). KISS

I think I'm on the brink of having another pop as I have what looks like a clean jar of almost colonised grain. I'll be looking to box it up this week I hope...I have the cactus mix for casing.

Anyone a fan of panaeolus cinctulus? I found some in my yard after a solid rainfall and took a few prints. There werent enough to eat so Im making sure to run the sprinklers more often in hopes that they spring back up.
Trying to take them to agar but they dont seem to like pda
and if they take to agar>oats, maybe trying a chicken poo/coir sub, but is there anything to feed the chickens for best results?
Someone on here had a write-up with a tiny lawn grown in a glad container, then trimming the lawn to leave dead grass at the base then spawning - anyone else try this out?

Not a fan.. had my worst trip on them... Weak AF, too visual and un-immersive.
I have had good growth from them on Grain, but fruiting failed miserably. I got 1 pin that aborted.. fuck it

How do you guys make poogar? I’m struggling to germinate pan goliaths (I think they are pan. cambo.?) and will try on poogar. I was thinking i’d mix some dry cow manure and water and make a poo tea, strain and make agar with that. Is there any need to add any other nutrition to it or is the poo enough?
Pan jams are looking like the good growth:

You got it just just mix with some grain water or rice broth.
Cutting the grain nutes in haft might keep it from getting to fuzzy.
So cints just have visuals from your experience an no body high? Ive heard theres a difference between the ones that grow from grass an manure(manure is supposed to be stronger)

Do shoeboxes work for pans? It seems most of the successful grows Im seeing are using either a sgfc or grow tent. Could I make up some jars using the recipe from Blue Helix and put those into some shoeboxes and case?

I didn't have much success with them. But I don't know anything. I'll let some experienced pan cultivators chime in.
I've built an entire grow chamber for pans and I am using trays. I've been told that the walls of the shoeboxes MAY be creating a micro climate that is not conducive to pans. Based on my experiences, I agree.

these little bottles got touched by bacteria pretty bad but still push through. some aborts but not too bad, only made one transfer on agar.
 pan cyan (Jamaica)

Trays work best from what I've seen. A shallow sub plenty of FAE without much CO2 buildup from walls of a tub.
I will be trying some pan cyan in a modified mono in the coming weeks. I'm a coir & mono kinda cultivator so I'm going to try to perfect a method. I may add Hpoo but might try adding sawdust or straw because I'm unsure how well they will do on just coir.

I love stonesun. His posts have helped me out immensely. I have done this 4 times in the past. Hell, my flowhood is his exact build. With that said...
It just isn't impressive to me. I want something comparable to mary or Blue Helix. I didn't have what I would call success with this. Fruits, but not many.

Im curious if the sgfc/martha is the difference maker? or could it be that mixing your grains and manure together from the start is what keeps them contam free?

thanks man! those cups are basically just 50/50 bison dung and milo, cased with 50/50 peat/verm and a pinch of hydrated lime. i think i added a half cup of brf but not sure. pc'd 10 cups with that recipe. noc'd up with a LI using mudda's LI tek. fruited in a mini mono.
