Shomann said: This is my first attempt honestly. I few weeks ago I heard of some guys having a difficult time germinating pan spores, and I believe Mary advised them to try using hpoo tea as their water source for agar.
I didn't use a special amount of hpoo. Maybe a 1/4 cup for 500ml. Strained out the poo, and made my agar with that water as normal.
All my bisporus, and all my tropicalis germinated in 3 days.
Wudup, Shomann! Good to see you back on the boards. Sticking around?

Thanks Mary. I've really enjoyed reading through your grows so far this summer, really good stuff.
Thanks for all the porn and info along the way.
Edit: hey Mycolorado! Yeah I'll be sticking around! Been pretty busy lately and I hope to do a lot of sharing and contribution in the following months.
I hope all has been well for you!

I like finding the boundaries and I thought surely I'd have problems but...

If you zoom in close on one of my shoeboxes you can see I'm keeping them absolutely drenched at all times with super high FAE still in the green house and none have aborted.

It tickles my brain. Perhaps it's not the water but the force of the water that makes pan pins abort or similar...
Side pins are almost non existent thanks to sweet shoeboxes.
Not nearly as prolific as Aicacas (this is MS as well) so I think I will do the clone wars between all these clones I'm taking. One is twice the speed as others on my agar so if all other things are equal that's my winner for that reason alone.
Anyway. Much improved on my second grow! Going for more!
Happy grows!

Ok, well now that I am thinking about it, I may have fruited too early. Not sure if I can recover from that or not, but we will see.

On this round around 6 days colonization sub and prob 4-5 days after casing and setting to fruit.
But I had several trays that didn't fruit last round at all. I think it was bc they got too dry tho
These were 50/50 cpoo and coir.
Ninja edit - if it we're me Azura id keep them happy in fruiting as long as I can. Until I grow a contam or a mush. Just let it sit and keep it as happy as possible. If it's not sick there's a lot of hope!

Kinda hard to tell I usually post five pics but I need to be frugal with photo space now. but if u zoom in you'll see tiny pins here and there in that sub and one larger half mature pin.
And you'll also see some pretty darn big ones I just harvested laying next to the half mature one growing, when the tiny fruits in that sub mature they'll be half the size of these others.
Size definitely varies a lot with pan cyans. I think for me the choice is becoming more and more obvious that I will be capturing and maintaining a clone.
Though now that I'm having decent surface conditions maybe I'll end up with a prolific MS flush. That's two separate things there, but I'm aiming for a prolific flusher of fat meaty fruits.
And azura you can tell how absolutely underwhelming this shoebox is performing, it has a tiny speck of metabolite in one spot but overall very healthy I think ifs just emo depressed mush genetics they don't want to fruit. Just happens I guess. Another reason im looking for a proven performer.
Good luck everyone!

Feel free to send an Alabama this way VL! Sexy stuff guys.
I put pan cyan Australia to grain 6/13, hoping I’ll get prints this time (my Goliath grow was prolific but never matured enough for spores).
