Somethings not right... If it's truly been 7 days then you should have pins by now. You shouldnt even be needing to mist, your sub should be well at field capacity before pasteurization, aswell as your casing medium. If your sub/casing is drying then your RH is too low.
Did you case?
Also, start getting into the habit of labeling/dating everything.

You can substitute the water for grain water if you'd like but hold the potato flakes. Ex. 10g agar, 4 drops of honey, 500ml grain water.
For a malt based media I use 8g light malt extract, 9g agar, 500ml water.
Wow! I've been using Munch's agar recipe this whole time. It calls for 3.3 grams potato flakes, 2.5 grams agar powder (I used the telephone brand), and 1.6 grams dextrose (I used organic honey), and half a cup of water. Will the plates have too much nutrition or too little, being as I'm using a higher ratio of flakes?
This is what the plate is looking like right now. It was inoculated on the 16th with a single drop of MS solution right in the center. Could I take transfers from this and drop it on grains now or do you think I should isolate it on more agar plates with the recipe you listed above?

I'm sorry but isn't this what's going on, or did you use different jars? I'm dead serious, try new shit man. I know you wanted it to work, but that's just how the cookie crumbles. I've had much better looking shit fail. It isn't all just because of fruiting. Start with clean spawn. And follow the info provided in this thread

Thanks I'm going to take this transfer to grains than and see what's up. Although this is from that so called "mess". I mean wouldn't you agree that this is some clean pan myc I can work with?

looks really weird to me, I wouldn't use it. that came from the black mess in a jar? why not start fresh from spores? and did you just hover a camera over an open pasty plate?

Will do, thanks! I just wasn't sure if I was using the right agar recipe for pans, which is why the mycelium looks whispy and thin.
I'm gonna make some agar using Fox's recipe for my third transfers!

pans dont require any special kind of agar recipe, they're just as individual as cubes try to mix things up whats good for 1 grow from a pritn isnt necessarily as good for the next grow from the same print..

I took a picture of an exposed pasty plate so that everyone has the benefit to see it visually I took spores to six plates. And got one winner from those. I transferred away from contams at that point, got the plate to colonize than tiger dropped.black mess mini mono than back to agar in that pic. So The myc in that picture is basically what germinated from those spores originally.

changing up the mix grow to grow? really?
I really need to stop buying pre-mixed agar. I have so little control that way

well, I'm not saying you should, I'm just saying there's no way to know. you cant say "all pans love pda agar and hate mea". most will love both, some will be picky, if you're not happy with how the culture looks change things up
