Do you have any write ups about how you are fruiting? SGFC, martha, etc. I have no idea what you're doing and I want to have an idea.

Just kinda winging it. As far as fruiting, they’re in a boot box or some other small tub with the lid cracked inside a grow tent with a wick humidifier running 24/7. I’m heating the inside of the tent to 75F with a 125W heat lamp. There’s also a separate light on 12/12 lighting but the heat lamp stays on so it still gets some light during the “night” cycle.

Can’t wait to get my culture to grains, and then to fruiting! Gonna be “coppin” some of your methods!

Fosho, Germs! Can’t wait to get some strong cultures to grain and popping as well! This method has proven pretty fruitful in my basement which is cold and DRY. I initially got the tent for oysters and other edibles but haven’t gotten to those projects yet.

A soaking was definitely in order....they got a good drink. I also soaked the final 2 to finish for a couple hours and then cased so we’ll see how that does...my guess is well/improved.

Nice man, thanks! People have so many different set ups my head is spinning. That's a weed grow thing, right? I can't envision how you get fresh air in there, but I guess you do.
My current plan is to frame out a fruiting chamber in my garage. I don't think heat will be a problem in Texas Might need to use a window A/C unit on temp control to hold conditions.

Fosho! Yep, grow tent. It has several vents/ports so it breathes a little but I’m in it 2-3 times a day...that and the constant air movement seem to be adequate for mex and Pans. With oysters I pump air in with a bilge fan as well as exhaust to outside to clear the spore load.

No but you don't want that in your room...if anything I've heard the fruit are rather potent. It spreads easily through contact and water. https://extension.psu.edu/verticillium-dry-bubble

Can someone tell me if it hurts to leave jars beyond full consolidation without birthing them? I have about 19 mcmerdin style jars with pan cyans that have been fully consolidated since late March (between 20-31 March) and I can’t birth them for another week still because of travel. I read that it’s ok to do so (for cubes) for a couple of weeks but I’m worried because for some of these jars it’s been over a month now. Here are some pics:

Should be OK. May lower the yields, but otherwise I wouldn't be concerned.

Pasteurizing up some casing tonight for my pan cyan Goliath shoebox to case tomorrow.
Then I’ll put the whole shoebox in the greenhouse and remove the lid once it’s fully colonized the casing.
Very excited and hoping for fruits and prints

Is that what we're supposed to do? Let the casing colonize then open up? I thought it was strange my casing kept colonizing even when I put it into fruiting at about 30% colonization or around 24-36 hours later. The first few shoeboxes I recased and it seemed to do better than the ones I didn't recase. Either way, when you get those prints I'll trade you something for a goliath. Thanks to the generous fellows and fellettes on here I have most pans I was aiming for. Except pan tropicalis and pan cyan thai. On that note, I do have a question for the thread. I have a pan cyan jamaica on it's 7th transfer but each transfer has what looks like dry patches.
I'm going to put that one to grain since I'm starting to think it's my agar, not my culture. I have a blue oyster plate that looks the same.

I usually put mine into fruiting conditions 3-4 days after casing.
Edit: your specimens could be at or near senescence after so many transfers, especially ig you've used the same type of agar for all transfers. Sometimes just changing up the agar can make a difference.

Hmm, good call. I was ready to chalk it up to the extreme temp fluctuation in my room. Its around 81-82 during the day and about 72 at night. Sometimes if I'm home during the day that'll happen twice thoughout the day. I've used potato dextrose agar and light malt extract agar. I may go back through the posts and find some others that other members have seen better luck with. What do you use for your pans?

Dung agar is the shit for pans and cubes (no pun intended)
