I'm scared to shake pan spawn. It's always been really wispy and delicate when I've put it to grain. I try to just let it grow out.

Has anyone had healthy jars stall or other problems after shaking pan spawn?
Its pretty aggressive so with a good inoculation there isnt much need to but if you did a typical inoculation (one spot) and think it would speed it al9ng it will recover , it breaks up easy so need to beat it like ya would with cubes a gentle tap abd roll will cut it.
Typicalky with pans i use lc and do 360°inoculations so i have no need to shake but any fungi can be broken apart and recolonize

Is that on coir? I recently did a shoebox with coir. Seems to have preformed better than my straw attempt. Check it out

Would you happen to have a pic of the LC? I made some that started off looking nice but then became stringy and didn't look good but I can't find pics of pan lc to compare to

Damn dude, those look fat, nice! Which variety? I have some really strong Goliath cultures starting so excited to see how they do on grain. Here’s the LC:

These substrates have made a ton of progress in the last 3 days since these pics were taken. Have a bunch of different pan LCs going. When I get back I'll jump in the lab and snap ya a couple of shots.

Open em up, case with 50/50, and bury them in a bed of perlite inside of a 108 quart monotub to fruit.

@Myco, those are pan cyan Hawaii. I have a pan cyan australia too, courtesy of a ham giveaway, but their so skinny I shifted my focus to the hawaii. Plus these are consistently giving me decent clusters. I have pan cyan Jamaica on agar now, I can't wait to observe their phenotype. I hope I used that right, I'm trying to familiarise myself with the vocabulary. Thanks for the pics, both you and ham. What I have looks similar to that. I want to use it with these new syringes I just got but it seems to have stalled. I agitated it with a glass marble inside the jar.

Hi, Some pics of my second attempt at wild Copelandia from down under. The blue tray is straight straw while the other tray is cow poo/verm/etc/etc. The largest mushroom came out of the straight straw tray (pic with lighter). There seems to be two different strains here (maybe?), I used grain from a clone and from a spore germination. I don't know which one is which (need some better {any} labeling) but some are pale as pins and others are more brown, maybe its the substrate? Anyway learned a lot and hope for a much better yield next time.
Regards N

PF jars, blocks, and a few jars of Red Milo being colonized with same LC inoculated 'cron-style' colonizing along.

Nice grow, Numina.
