Just remember, spores from Shroomery sponsors are for microscopy purposes only.

Hi, An update on my second attempt at the wild cyans. Its been eight days since I cased the trays. This morning I found a couple of pins in one of the straw substrate trays. Nothing to write home about for many of you I'm sure, but this is my first active ever. I've never done cubes or PFtek, only ever grown oysters on straw logs. Mainly because you can't buy spores/syringes etc here. You have find wild ones yourself and that seems to invovle trespassing which I can't really bring myself to do.
Anyway, its been a bit of a struggle trying to keep the humidity right in my mini homemade GH while ensuring adequate FAE. As you can see from the pics, the pin came up from the edge of the tray. Does this mean inadequate humidity? At first I thought there was too much RH because the mist was leaving droplets on the myc in the casing, then I struggled but managed to keep it around 90%. I'm hoping there will be more to come, but I'm relieved that at least something happened.

Yeah good suggestion trypt, I thought of that but I'm a bit shy . Anyway, a couple of months ago I was driving home from a couple of days bush walking in the rainforest when i drove over a cattle grate in the road. Being a country boy from way back I guessed there must be cows crossing the road somehwere near by. A couple of Ks further on and strike me roan! if there wasn't a cow on the road. Funnily enough there was cow poo all over the place and no fences. It had been raining alot recently so I got out of the car and crossed the road to find Cope. cyans growing out of the cow pats. Couldn't believe my luck, I've been trying to find these suckers for years but was never game to jump the fences.

Me Jam Pans, gonna put em on grains. They have loved the MEA so far. I am working on some WBS mixes to G2G to oats. I will likely spawn to coir.

Is this worth doing something with? One is LME 2% the other is Cat Food, LME 1% each.

Tks, it's from a ms and my casing was a little thick, pretty sure that's why I have uneven growth. Does that sound right to y'all?

Alright so after I get these cubes grown, I need to move on to this beautiful species
and the good news is, I have them a quarter mile behind my back yard in a cow pasture
I know how to make a spore print, but how do you guys get the syringes made up? Do you just scrape off the spores into some water and suck it up with the syringe? Is there a tek for it?

Don't do that. Swipe spores to agar and get a clean culture. A syringe made from a wild print is going to be contaminated for sure.
