I've been reading this thread for a few days. Some good info here and I like the spirit of mutual help. I'm just getting into Pans, so far I have Pan. cyan. on agar.

After running shoeboxes with out a mono and experiencing complete failure...mono's are the way to go. Second attempt is going so much better.
Edit: I mean, shoeboxes in a mono.

OK guys I'm very confused , i've grown pans several different times no great success but I have had them fruit and got probably an ounce dry total
I finally got a fantastic spore print put it directly to agar, cleaned up quite well After I got some really clean agar plates ,I inoculated some bags of wheat with a little horse poo and they fully colonized in about a week...... This is 3days growth in bags

Used 4 bags to bulk of horse manure, coir, vermiculite and gypsum (50/30/15/5) and always pasteurized for 2 hours.they look great after a week they're about halfway colonized which to me sounds about normal
Then I three bags left to try as a test on different teks Used 2 bags to go to bulk on CVG using the bucket tek .... HOLY SHIT !!!! This is two days growth... How does it look to you

Looks awesome. I've had experiences like that growing out pans and azures. Now getting fruits is a whole different story.

I like that shit came full circle for you MB. Trying out all methods is a sign of open mindedness. Is this your first go at pans?

Not sure if its just correlated but the couple pan cyan tubs I did with CVG and cased after full colonization with 50/50, after some myc was poking thru and colonizing the casing I stopped misting and let it get pretty dry, not on purpose, but when I misted them, 12 hours later I got a nice pinset. Just didn’t have the right conditions for fruiting. Pans like it wet and warm, but no direct misting once pinning

With the re-run shows, and the cocaine nosejob, the daytime crap of the folk singer slob. He hung himself with a guitar string, slap the turkey neck and it's hanging from a pidgeon wing.

I have to move soon as well. I've received a few of my pan cultures too. Specifically a cyan aus clone. It ran clean, so it's been slanted, and transferred to LC. The other species are going nice as well. Going to experiment a little and put a few of these ms species into a wheat straw soak water LC.

I'd rather work with poo than straw. Weird considering I grow oysters.
I'm sure a lot of different subs would work.
5 part sub. Too much work for me. I don't drink coffee either.
We're you able to get fruits with your straight coir pans MB?
I read they're picky to fruit and I'm not sure why

im doing it for the little guy. yes we can. without poo so every noob wont be intimidated or something. and because im lazy and stubborn. getting poop means driving outside the city and heaven forbid i do that
ninja response to ninja question. i havent fruited anything so far. honestly its my first serious attempt with halfway decent spawn. and i doubt they are that picky, more like we are not providing the climate they want. thats our problem to solve for them
