They definitely like the poo, fruits are bigger and fuller flushes.
Edit: If you have an old coffee grinder, it works great for turning the poo to powder, all my mushrooms seem to prefer the ground up stuff.
Doc, I took your advice to try powdered poo in my pan cyan macmerdin style 1/2 pint jars. Seems to work quite well. It's been only a week and I have about the same amount of growth that it took 10+ days to see on an earlier un-powdered manure batch. Of course one batch doesn't prove anything but I like to think the powdered sub had an effect.
Here's a pic of my one week old jars:

Going to try doing manure agar next using Mary's manure tea recipe.
Could you share your source of the powdered Hpoo? I have access to fresh piles of hpoo but I'm not sure I want to deal with dehydrating it. Or is there a tek for using straight from the horses ass?
If it's fresh and you dont want to dry it, simmer or low boil it for a couple hours then strain, use the liquid immediately or freeze it.

Sub is sterilized Hay but this time supplemented with some Urea and Betaine hydrochloride. I have used too much though, so colonization was slow. Still didn't finish colonizing actually. Next time I'll be more clever, haha.

If I'm not mistaken that substrate is straight cased grains? If that's the case then those are casings, and what used to incorrectly get referred to as "casings" were actually bulk substrates that have been spawned to with colonized grain spawn.

I've got three bags of colonized Jamaicans on grain, no room to take them to bulk so I'll break them up and put them in a tub then case them like you did and see what happens but I think ill "case with jiffy mix instead of coir

What the heck are you even talking about, dude?
Also, back in the day (probably before your time) spawing to bulk was referred to as "casings" which was quite confusing.

I've seen that within the year... Thai is why it's ideal to have nomenclature nailed. To the wall

Either he misunderstood what I'm saying, or he's drunk again. Either way he came out of the woodwork in an attempt to discredit me with a barely legible, out of context, off-base and incorrect statement that's actually kind of weird. What the heck was that?

I think that was paranoia on your part, I don't think he's trying to discredit you, I think it's pure drunk self amusment.

Creeping along. These were top noc’d so it’s no surprise. The coir sup’d with alfalfa is producing a much thicker mycelium than the coir/poo blend. It’s also moving a lot slower.
