Me too!!! I have some Hawaiian on plates as we speak. I wish I could get decent yields with pans. Haven't so far, but that's my goal.

WTF are we doing wrong. Palm. Face. I actually suspect its too much moisture or too thick of a sub on my end.

I tried to keep it simple. What would be a good spawn ratio and sub mix? I was at 1/1 so it always colonizes quick af. Just after pinning they just mature like overnight and the caps all open. I left some there until they rotted lol. Just hoping they would grow.
Should I make my usual cube sub with coir and then just add 25% pastuerized hpoo?
I have had nothing but failure with straw. The prep is too much for me. I didnt mention i always use fine verm for texture and brought to field capacity with 2 quarts verm to 8 quarts hpoo also. Wasnt straight poo.

I would swap those ratios. Like 20-25% poo 75% verm

I'll try that. Just seems like such a non nutritional sub makes me nervous.

I just can't seem to get a good colonization with higher poo mixes. I am using cubes tho, but the way these like50/50(ish) subs are colonizing reminds me of the shitty cakes I made that were mixed wrong and became too dense and colonized slow. Those cubes on proper cakes did well but were tiny and stunted on the dense cakes.. I guess I'll have a better idea of if it's an issue when these cubes fruit

I’d recommend a varied sub with more poo than verm. Check stonesun’s Hawaii grow.

Is it via volume or weight?

Do these look like pan cyans?

Grown from a print. Spawned grains to CVG. Could just be funny looking because of sub optimal substrate.

Ill be watching. I hope to run them with no manure someday but always heard they wont fruit well without it.

This started happening around 11 transfers in. Now when I put a wedge to grains I get several of these ¿pseudo sclerotia? by full colonization. Someone has suggested that this means the culture has been overgrown, can’t remember who atm. Is there anyway to revive it besides attempting to fruit and print? Or is it even an issue? Haven’t found much on the subject
Started from a wild panaeolus cyanescens print from florida
Edited for drunk spelling

I had a trop that started doing it after not too many transfers. I got it looking really nice and uniform and then it blew up. Maybe they don’t like being cultured for any kind of extended period or burn out without a varied media?

Those wild Florida cyans seem to do that.

I believe it was pollock who suggested challenging the culture via media switch
