For how long do you dunk your spawn? And what difference do you notice?

Might be the key to getting thicker panaeolus fruits, besides the general sub conditions and genetics? Gonna have to give it a shot

the grains are colonized to begin with right? when i dunked grains i noticed the myc had 'washed away' similar to fresh shaken grains...
would it be reasonable to assume that when the grain 'fuzzes' back up(recovers) its going to be already in colonization mode for the bulk? cause its in...'recovery' mode post dunk?? instead of sitting in the spawn takin the extra time to start recovery?
or im i smokin too much crack?

what do you mean by common?(you mean pix??????) pan cambo
ive noticed a lack of exotic LC pics too. for me, exotic spores are dirtier and pulling a fast LC with dirty spores/questionable cultures is 100% fucked.

I mean I havent seen to many write ups on pan cyan grow using LC that´s all. Maybe I havent looked enough. I have pan cyan germination and will make a LC soon after one transfer until I´m sure that it´s pan cyan culture (which I wont be anyway)

I have a few of these 1.2L PP5 standard spawn boxes, and I though about mixing WBS with manure based substrate inside these boxes and sterilize and inoculate and fruit from the boxes as well. What do you think of this idea guys?
I´m under the impression that pan cyans benefit from less breaking up after all the info I´ve read so far.

I was under the same impression and would think a dunk would be pretty hard on the myc. That said, I’ve seen some examples of pretty beast Pan myc on grain here and I have little experience to speak from.
Thanks eat!
@ mushboy - I dumped 200ml LC in a sterile bag of poo coir straw paper oats and sand. I’ll have to dig up the exact blend but it was very similar to the tamp sub I used. Mixed very well and packed into 2-2.5 inch thick patty(inside the sealed bag). After 3 weeks or so I opened it up and cased it with jiffy sand and closed it back up for five more days then popped in the gh. It did poorly, mainly due to dry conditions so I picked it clean, soaked the top with the spray bottle and cased again with 1:1:.5 jiffy:verm:sand and threw it in an unmoderated tub. It’s not much so far but it did push up about 9-10 fruit and I’ve been able to get about 4 super faint prints and a decent one. Low to mid 70s for fruiting but have it up to 76F now. A better sub blend with more grain would likely do much better but I like the idea of LC straight to sub on these guys, at least with fragile or whispy cultures or until I get some nice strong cultures going.

For some reason water seems quite detrimental to pan mycelium I'm not sure if this would kill it out right ore stunt it if it didn't hert it you could then use the water is a liquid inoculant but pans are so delicate with water ....this is a photo of what happens when you spray them with water it almost melts

They are mushrooms they love water...they also love lc...myc will wash away if you agitate the fuck out of it but for the most part ya don't lose any. I have dunked lots of pans and every other species I have never had any issues
