Yep. Not grey / tan at all.

Wonder if that's some spores or actives on a few stems

I need some bisp advise, hoping this thread is the right spot. I went ms to ryeberrys and it looks like there is something there but the grains don't even stick together and the jar is about 2 months old now. I also put some ms on mea that has finally germinated after about a month of sitting there but it's just one tiny spot of myc and it's just sitting there and not doing anything. I am afraid I messed up and contaminated the rest of my spores so I'm hoping to make what I have germinated work. I was thinking about trying to do something w the ryeberrys but I'm thinking the mea is probably cleaner. What is the best way to expand this stuff before I loose it?

Hi guys, my pans seem MUCH weaker than the subaeruginosa that grow around here, any ideas why they would be quite weak, they looked healthy. Can substrate make them weak?

There is not much to see, that's part of the problem
These two jars were prepared and cooked together. The grainy stuff is crushed drywall that I added after my grain soak because I didn't know what I was doing, I know better now and realize that I should have probably chosen rye grass seed. The one on the left is Cp Bp knocked up near the beginning of October, the one on the right is just there for comparison. Notice the bacteria type shine developing on the comparison jar that is not present in the inoculated jar.
I started on one plate and transferred this from one spot that started to look different. The culture was started about a month and a half ago and the spot is near two weeks old. The original plate didn't seem to do much else so I poured more hot MEA over it about a week ago but so far I'm not seeing anything
I took a biopsy culture Josex style near the same spot that I made my transfer from and injected it into a LC made up of soluble organic fertalizer and nothing else. I'm wondering if I should add some sugars or something to this LC?
Like I said, I fear I messed up the rest of my MS.
Anyone got any ideas for me?
I read before about making thin PF cake to run myc over as an agar substitute. I was thinking maybe I should try running across a thin Mac style pan cake?
I really need some good ideas here though because I'm completely new to cop/pan and as you can see, if I mess up I'm bummin.

Panarchist said: interesting, that may offer the quickest path from inoculation to fruiting that i've heard of. are you just fruiting them out of the bag or do you crumble and case to trays or something else?
I am just fruiting them from the bag , i cut the top half of the bag off and case with jiffy mix then put them in the fruiting chamber
6 days in and this new method is ready to be cased already these are the bags today when I cut the top off and cased with Jiffy mix

Pan tropicals new mix 1 full cup water 1 full cup wheat One premade handful verm/coir mix one handful Manure
PC all together for two hours
Cut up two plates colonized agar, very fine for each small sized grow bag, then mix like crazy and lay bags on their side to get maximum growth surface
DONT TOUCH BAGS UNTILL They're ready for fruiting, and fruit like normal in your choice of fruiting chambers.
I dont thinks pans like to be harassed while they are trying to colonize so mixing up the colonized grain in the manure is counterproductive and all my (cake) style bags are ready for their fruiting chamber in around 7 to 8 days
Looks like an interesting way to scale up a pancake style grow. Putting the bags on their side increases the surface area to volume allowing faster colonization. Nice innovation 99!
