Ya, no shit. I tried rgs soak water and mea. Nothing would germinate from 5 syringes. 30+ plates.
Then I made fluffy poo .5 pints and bam! Within 3-6 days all showed signs other than Thai (1.5w) and Sandose (trych in 3d regardless of media)
Got some xferred to plates and others to .5p RGS. Finally seeing the light. These things killed me last time and never got jack ><
Here's 5 days after a RGS master gtg ->Oat pintz

Same age but hpoo verm rgs gyp to Oats. Definitely hard to get used to the colour the poo brings lol....

Ya, I don't know if there's any way for me to germinate my Sandose rig. Trych already has a full life cycle by the time the Pan spores get hatched. Can't see any specific media additive that would allow one but not the other.
Perhaps pH? TCs?

I successfully moved a few colonized grains to agar and grew it out. I had the same issue with two of my pan syringes.

Hi guys! 2nd attempt growing pans. Straightforward I went out of town for 3 days, came back and the sub was very dry and bruised. Dunked the whole thing for an hour and pins started popping a few days later. Now it's been about 5 days and these pins won't seem to get much bigger. Should I re-case this or let them grow?

I have a few other tubs I put into fruiting. This one is 5 days in and the casing looks like this. Should I re-case this?

5 days in, looking nice. Got some 80/20 humus/manure mix and sifted for just the compost, got out all the big stuff. Mixed 50/50 with verm and then mixed that with CV so I have a compost/coir/verm of like 20/40/40. Gonna case it in a few days.

Aaaaaaaaaand their off... we have pan cambo on the left! Closely following we have pan Jamaican in the center. On the right there are two experiments on their second flush. Malabar cubes spawned to horsepoo hummus cakes. Temp is 80 degrees, humidity is high 90’s.

2.5 dried grams off 1qt spawn to sub. Not alot but enough to blast off
So im trying your coir recipe and everything is looking good so far

I also have some more spawn about ready to experiment on some other kind of substrate

And just because I want to see what they look like I'm trying my hand at some albino penis envy Which i will be Spawn in a Manure substrate
Hey GERMS Unfortunately my trial of your coir only sub failed after two weeks of not colonizing the substrate, then I got the green monster so I just chucked the whole thing
The APE im trying on the other hand is growing so fast and thick it's unlike anything I've used before, i've grown regular envy for a while 4 days to completely colonize 4 quarts of cow manure/coir sub from one quart spawn

Here's another mini tub I have.
Pins won't seem to mature properly for whatever reason (short) so I decided to cut the tub to the sub level and put it in a SGFC. Lol
It's Sandose.
Pins appeared 5 days ago. Caps are opening.
I'm a Pan noob
I put a few pins on agar so I can make some LC and try this shit again.

yea i know about that. these are growing separately though. im using mcmerdins pan cake tek. those "pan" cakes on the left and center are in glad containers buried in the perlite. the two exposed cakes on the right are the cubes and they are separate as you can see. i would never grow them together unless it was an outside grow.

Mateah, they can be in the same sgfc but care is needed to mind their individual needs. Cubes are less picky than pans. I have the chamber at 80 degrees and 85-90 % humidity.i mist the pans directly only in the morning and only until pins form which should be in the next few days. I mist the cubes 3 times a day still. The bigger cake on the bottom right just put up its second flush and I harvested this morning. I fan like crazy because pans love fae.

Yeah I can understand that it would be a bit problematic to try to uphold two climates in the same FC. But I still don't understand what a Xclosure means with "overtake", they are separated by different fully colonized cakes, the myc can't jump from one cake to another. byt as you mention this I do get an image in my head from a Pan Cyan grow where a cube fruited. But I'm not sure how that happened don't remember. Maybe you know which thread I mean?

I think he is just confused. If they were sharing a substrate the cubes can overtake the pans, but they aren’t. Also, I do know what thread you are talking about or one like it. That can be caused by mislabeling your syringes/agar plates. Also, if you do syringe/agar work back to back and aren’t careful to clean everything imbetween. I could see doing agar work for cubes and then pans and having some cubes spores floating around that lands on your pan agar plate. Just got to be careful and clean.
