Nice, That Jungle spice need a heptane re-X asap, if you want tht Elfspice lol I'll be doing an extraction as well sometime this month or next.

Anyway back on topic,
Yall should state/decipher "cyan/cyanescens", "cam/cambodginesis", "subb/subbalteatus/cinctulus"...etc I hear see pan and I get all confused as to which one lol cyans are stronger than cinctulus, but weaker than cambodginesis

Hey Mr fox no intent to thread jack here's a neat idea for schiphoning that pesky naptha layer off
If you have an extra syringe , needle and some tubing that fits. Works like a dream

You should never let your solvents touch plastic...
Buy a pipette, and stop being cheap...Or your risking your health. If thats whats your into, then by all means "ghetto rigg" away..

firstTIMER420 said: Can someone post some recent pics of an agar plate after MS inoculation of Pan cyan spores, and a plate after rthe first or second transfer? I cant seem the culture to "thrive" it stays flat on the plate and doesn't really look like much, but its there. really starting to get annoying and Ive switched mediums so im not sure if its the agar blend. Ive also tried switching strain and source as well.
Here ya go..

If you really want help you should post a picture of your dish.. No two cultures are the same... They're like snowflakes
All my plates look lke this shits fucked up dude, I CANNOT get a good strain to germinate, idk if its the agar formulation or what. But, ive been mixing my own agar lately and its been working fine for every other strain. The myc is barely visible, I cann see it climbing on the plate, but it isn't vertical at all, flat.
I have some pan cyan germinating on Rye grain straight from the ms syringe and im going to try grabbing a couple pieces of rye and plopping them on a plate

That's not pan mycelia. More than likely mold.
What's you agar media recipe? What are you inoculating the agar media with? Syringe?
Edit: G2A could work out better for you.

I use a pipette. If I'm lazy, I bust out the glass turkey baster. (Never letting the solvent touch the rubber plunger)

Me too!
I knocked up some plates two days ago. I placed a drop of MS solution on a sterilized q-tip and swiped the agar in the middle of the plate and the other I just made a couple of small indentations in the agar and put a single drop in the middle.
I wanna see which method has a faster growth rate.
I'm also using glass jars for my agar. There was no condensation on the sides of the jar after the PC cycle, so I was able to use them right away. Last time I made pasty plates, it took like 3 days for all the condensation to clear up.

Using a Syringe for inoculation. using MEA currently but have tried PDA as well. Ive used 4 different syringes and 1 had str8 bacteria on the plates, and the next two times I got this. Different strins and everything. Ive even used prints, but the prints didn't germinate at all.
whats your process for G2A, do you shake or not shake the jar to loosten them up. Also, ive been thinking about injecting sterile water, then shaking and getting back the water and using that for inoculation of the plates, but there seems to be metabolites in some of the jars.

Try adding a little horse poo to your agar and see if that helps couldn't hurt to try
