I also just got a new syringe of Pan Tropical that I put to some agar yesterday along with some Pan Cyanescens from a syringe I had left over. The spawned grain I had went bad while I was away. I also had a few dishes of Pam Cyan in the fridge that I put to some grain jars.
We shall see what develops.
thanks, Speed Racer. hopefully i can replicate the process because not only did i loose all my clean plates to heat shock but none of my attempts at tissue cloning led to any positive results so i have to start back over from spore.
good luck with your new projects. from my own experience and what i hear from others pan tropicalis may offer the best path to success. it's mycelium seems to be a bit more resilient and vigorous than it's relatives. i've been surprised a few times now by it's sheer determination to fruit.

Lol my bad phone pic, im almost certain its contamed, im thinking of spawing it outside when time.
I'll update here when (if) i spawn
Well i was correct, some sort of pin mold it looks like, had to spawn to a garbage can.

Any thoughts on which might be more forgiving first time?

I have 1 half assed cambo grow under my belt and one current grow colonizing, but as far as ive read the sandose seems to be a favorite.
Going to go out on a limb and say that all cambo and cyans are roughly the same in all aspects other than appearance.

Any recs on grow logs to look at?
I searched through all the forum threads a few weeks ago before my account had access to the logs, but now I am all approved. I'd like to find a couple good logs to follow. For now the best tek I am going off of is Shea25's Pan Cyans without a PC.
Thanks all-

Yeah thats how im doing my cakes right now, worked great. But as to fruiting them you can break them up and spawn to bulk or try the waylitjim style in jars. Macmerdin has his own spin off of it here.

I had read that the pan cambo, sandose has had more work done on it to domesticate it. I got a print of it from a good vendor and HOLY SHIT did it grow fast! I intend to get back to the culture, but it was rather impressive. The mycelium grew up the glass quite well.
O YEA, I also manipulated mine into fruiting off the agar plate by casing it. It was after transfer were taken and I was like, WTF I will case it and see if I could get some pins to clone.
****ALL PICS ARE Pan cambo Sandose

my head is shaved. My fruiting room is deep cleaned once a week (prints are taken in the fruiting room). Hands are covered with alcohol soaked rubber gloves, and camera is very thoroughly wiped before entering the fruiting room. Is there any thing else you are curious about?
Edit to add oh yea, the cultivator is freshly showered and just brushed their teeth, as well as, freshly laundered cotton clothing is worn.

Alcohol don't kill mold spores tho. Showering is moot. You still make millions of particles just being a body.
Do you wipe your shaved face before hovering it over?

What exactly does that have to do with the question about integrity of prints?
And no i haven't grown any pans. I tried three years ago it was not a full fledged attempt. No shame in answering your question.
